I didn't mean it in that way as to intentionally sabotage their software, I just hope they are at least aware of it and it's something they're looking into...that's all. It's just kind of hard to get any kind of transparency from them even using the feedback app with some of them spanning multiple versions.
I agree with you. Someone might actually know what to do to fix an issue, but maybe they're being pulled into a different direction, maybe even specifically being told to stay out of such and such's business... After all, that's generally how ALL businesses work.

Official iOS 16.5 is coming next week. We were in 6 weeks of beta testing. Things to be noted!

As much love as people afford iOS updates, you know that it is dead last when it comes to installation speed. Yeah tvOS, IPadOS, and MacOS all install faster. Don't have an Apple Watch so maybe that is slower. :D

iPhone models used iPhone 14 Pro.
I always update my iPhone, MacBook Pro and Apple TV at the same time. The Apple TV completes the installation first followed by the MacBook Pro and on the third place is the iPhone. I don't know why is it taking the iPhone 13 Pro so much time to install the update and the MacBook Pro M1 Max and Apple TV 4K are very fast...

Personally I can't wait for WWDC 2023. I can't wait for iOS 17, macOS 14 and tvOS 17.
Yes there is more to look forward to with the other OS's over IOS, because those three represent being how people work or be entertained using any of them.

Also none of the so call sources know anything about them. Can't reply on Mark Gurman snitches because they don't focus on Apple's OS's really or anyone else related, because Apple has the whole under lock and key until WWDC.:D

I love how Apple's ecosystem is integrated and works so seamlessly with each device. The fact that no one knows much about the other OS's other than iOS 17 makes WWDC 2023 more exciting. I think iOS, macOS and watchOS are the most important ones that people look forward to!
I would love to buy my first Apple Watch ever, but I am still waiting on some rumored features like glucose monitoring. I am not a diabetic but I like to have every feature that you can have in a modern device because you never know when you might need them. iOS and macOS are the most important OS's from Apple for me at the moment.

Two things going on next week, first the releases of all OS's that have been in a beta cycle since March 28th, will it be Monday for sure? Second there are some oddities with B4-> RC -> RC2 that suggest there is hardware close by, the issues with B4 and outgoing firewall operation, diagnostics showing SD card reader not working which is false for M1/M2 16" MBPs, the example of thunderbolt issue added by RC, fixed by RC2. Seems like something in the works pending some announcement.

Would not be terribly surprised to see some hardware announced ahead of WWDC. The fact that the fairly significant release of FinalCut Pro and Logic pro for iPad occurred ahead of time tells me that they have a lot to reveal in the 2 hours of the WWDC keynote and are clearing the decks of things that would normally have been announced there.

Announcing an entirely new and (hopefully) revolutionary product platform has a way of sucking up 45-60 minutes. That doesn’t leave much time for everything else.

Agreed! I think Apple is going to announce Apple AR/VR headset but I don’t think it will be available immediately. We might be waiting until Fall for an actual release.

Also, that will be the last thing Apple will announce during WWDC. Saving it for the last!

I already pointed that WWDC announcements seems full in an earlier post today. I am not sure the AR/VR will be revealed still in the manner of a new product. Like the 15" MBA its still rumors.

I don’t think there’s any question the headset will be previewed at WWDC.

And stop pointing out that you said things in earlier posts, ok? It’s not a good look. Most of what gets said in these forums has been said over and over again. I don’t claim originality on most things. I merely synthesize.

Just merely pointing out I placed the same in this weeks cumulative news thread, as MacWorld also has it as their main topic today, that this WWDC might be the biggest yet event.

Well yesterdays heat had faded a bit from Silicon Valley. It was 90F/32C locally which made us a bit like Las Vegas. Still one day away from public seeing iOS/IPadOS/tvOS 16.5 and MacOS 13.4.

The next beta cycle will it be introduced this week or next? If its this week IMHO Apple is more organized for WWDC one would think?

Good morning & Happy Monday!

Two things are happening this week...
  • iOS 16.5 official public release.
  • iOS 16.6 Beta 1 is coming either on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Side Note: We are less than a month away to witness iOS 17. Dress warm! 🥶
This is the way. Be glad when public updates from 16.4.1. ;)
Looking forward to seeing how inadequate Gurman's predictions are in 3 weeks. :D
I predict nice improvements with the OS's this time around.
