I was thinking… all these speculations. Isn’t it amazing how Apples developers keep their beta programs ”in house” when it comes to leaks… dates and so on. Compared to Microsofts Insider program… there are no efforts to stop info from leaking at all. You read about upcoming beta releases in detail with dates and so on

Is it just that Apple has a faithful crew working on this?
The difference is one has to advertise to get people to join their beta program and the other has sheeplets subbing for an expensive developer program just to get a hit of that sweet beta goodness.

I think we’ll see it in 20 min. The PB and DB are already synced up and the PB doesn’t get released on the same day this early on anyway.

This is probably our last chance for any reasonably significant new/altered features before 16.1. Hoping we see some.
There's a chance that we see some iPhone 14 specific things in the 16.0 release that they're hiding from us in the beta cycle. But yeah most likely 16.1 will be the next major features destined for all phones.

Can you elaborate

Usually we get some new (late to the game) or significantly altered features in the first several betas. But by the time beta 4 drops, its usually feature complete and its just fine tuning until the X.0 release (in this case 16.0) drops. Then we get new stuff again in X.1, X.2, etc…

I honestly can’t recall, but have older phones ever gotten new functionality in the release version of a major iOS update that was otherwise hidden due to the new phones? Most likely candidate is some camera feature, but I don’t think so…
