I prefer my digital voices a little more posh, so I prefer British 1 to British 3.

I’ve always wondered how many people use a voice other than the default for their country/language?

To me Siri has a distinctive voice and I could never imagine changing to another.

I use the British male. Love it

Imagine if Siri responded with character voices from East Enders:

I’m less bothered by Siri’s range of accents than I am by the fact that he/she/they are still unable to understand the simplest of queries. ‘Hey Siri - show me directions to Sainsbury’s in Whitechapel’ ‘You want directions to Tesco in Milton Keynes, is that correct?’
Which year iPad or iPhone do you have?

Welshman here - couldn’t stand the Southern British accents, have been using Irish Female since she was first released. I don’t mind the northern one, will give her a go for a while.
would much rather a Welsh or Scots. Proper Glaswegian would warm my cockles.

Even a Black Country one - “y’allroit Bryn, how’s yam? Tara a bit !”

12 Pro Max - but Siri’s always been bad, and is just as useless whether I’m trying to use it to control HomePods, CarPlay, or whatever. So confusing, considering the early start Apple had with voice control, and the money they must have thrown at it by now.

I just wondered. I have an m1 iPad Pro on which Siri works pretty decently. But it is in the shop at the moment and I’m using an old 2017 iPad . On it, Siri is absolutely useless. Voice. Dictation is beyond bad. I just wondered. If possibly it was necessary to have one of the newer devices in order for Siri to Work well. It’s pretty obvious her capabilities are not the same in the two devices.
