Be better if we could assign what we want there even if it is nothing.

Fully agree. Some don't want any shortcut buttons there, others want to customize. Let's see what iOS17 has in store for us 🙏

Awkward design. So this is a 3d touch, which was killed a few years back already. And it takes a simple swipe left from the lock screen to open the camera app, which often happens accidentally, but for the bottom right icon to work one needs to long press. This design is wrong and inconsistent.

Doesn’t bother me. Apple always provides several ways to accomplish any given action.
