You can do that with Marvis , it’s not ideal but you can do much more with this appLandscape…

How do you like your dash-mounted iPhone in the CarPlay era?

A long-time Spotify user, I switched my family plan to AM a few months ago and am quite happy (better sound, better artist payouts and I actually prefer AM more spacious UI compared to Spotify.)
AM has its issues, but I would encourage everybody who feels strongly about them to submit a feedback directly to Apple, as posting about AM’s bugs & imperfections here is very unlikely to improve it.
Let Apple know you care here:
On iPad tooI don't care about any of the listed new features. They need to bring the Classical app to macOS. THAT is something I care about. How difficult could that really be?
I think it's because when you connect your phone it is automatically backed up first, then your new playlist is synced/added which Music thinks is a duplicate. I get all capitalized letters on one of them. And most frustrating is that if I add songs to a playlist on my iPhone and then sync it to my Mac it creates a duplicate playlist in Music on the Mac with the same name followed a 1 or 2 or 3 (and so on) that has the additonal songs on top of the original playlist that doesn’t include them. Wtf?!
I would say those are annoyances that could be improved rather than “atrocious”. Needing a ground up redesign seems a little extreme.Still an atrocious interface. Needs a ground-up UI redesign.
Edit: Reasons why (no particular order)
- Adding to library or playlist should be a one-click action vs needing to click the 3 dot menu
- No device handoff or memory for last playing if app is restarted
- Random glitches and stability issues (such as now playing not always reflecting current song playing)
- Song radios repeating songs and not as good at curating as Spotify
I know you're (half) joking, but that's another thing I miss from Spotify - the ability to block an artist from ever appearing in any form anywhere that I listened to music. For example, I blocked Justin Bieber on Spotify and his trash music never appeared anywhere in any recommended algorithms or playlists or anything. He just vanished and even if I had a friend who had bad taste and included him in a playlist, I never saw it or heard him.How about an option to never play any Springsteen?
