And they still can't distinguish same name artists, merging everything for those who can't come up with a unique name. Discogs are able to do this for decades.
A year or so ago I had Apple Music. It integrated my music with Apple Music but it totally screwed up my own music after I unsubscribed. It wouldn’t let me sync my own music. I had to download imazing and pay for the license to reupload my music off my iPod back to my iTunes library. And my library is 6000 songs so it’s thousands of dollars of music worth plus memories associated with the songs.Wait WHAT?
They seriously block you from syncing files you own if you're subscribed?
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Add yet another reason I don't want to upgrade past Mojave.
Case and point: Apple has ditched “it just works” and now runs on “you do it OUR way and shut up about it.”A year or so ago I had Apple Music. They made it too complicated and too bloated. The music app has been an unusable piece of garbage for a few years now. Really just awful.
Agreed! Too many playlists. Too many choices. Too many menus. Makes it difficult to simply find some music to listen to.They made it too complicated and too bloated.
The music app should be simple, easy and light on the eyes. Instead its like a Times Square billboard of chaos...
If it wasn’t for iMazing(MacOS), and MediaMonkey(Windows) I would’ve switched to AndroidA year or so ago I had Apple Music. Nah it’s more like pay us a monthly to make it work.Case in point: Apple has ditched “it just works” and now runs on “you do it OUR way and shut up about it.”
Yup imazing is a lifesaver.If it wasn’t for iMazing(MacOS), and MediaMonkey(Windows) I would’ve switched to Android
I do pay them monthly and it still doesn't work.Nah it’s more like pay us a monthly to make it work.
Apple Watch music storage is horrible and unreliable. There’s really no excuse why you can’t transfer all of your music there.
the worse thing about crossfade for me is the "train wrecks" if you're listening to anything to begins and ends with a beat. really don't see the appeal...As long as crossfade is optional - fine. For me, it ranks with video autoplay and unsolicited 'trailers' all of which are designed to remove sanctuaries of momentary silence to pause, appreciate and think. An ideal music streaming interface for me would be a blank sheet and an ability to add and erase from options available. 'Music WE love' would never see the light of day.
I find Deezer has the least worse interface and the IOS 'Focus', combined with it's underlying algorithms that - just works.
Yes! I don’t want or need any smarts. Just infinite songs in my pocket. As long as crossfade is optional - fine.
