I hope you can set the brightness of the clock and such to barely above zero, so you can read it in a pitch black room but it won't bug your eyes. I've never been able to find a real world clock that lets you set it dim enough, so I just forego having a bedside clock completely and ask siri what time it is.
Just tested this on my iPhone 11.

It dims the display depending on how dark the room is. Whether that gets dark enough for you - I don't know.

My prediction: this will come to iPads next year.

This reminds me of exhibition mode from webOS.
Probably, but I think the greatest use (at least for me) would be to repurpose older iPads. I have a couple of Air 2's that still in good shape but of course aren't going to get new iPad OS updates. I had previous looked for an "App" that does something like that, but didn't find anything to my liking.

Now that's a great idea, Apple.

Everything in this article was reading so well, until the last paragraph......😞

Real question does this work on any magnetic wireless charger. I have a ton of the Anker Powerwave stands at work and home.

Edit: my own research is leaning towards no. MagSafe has a NFC chip that the Anker devices don’t have. I purposely got the Anker devices because I didn’t want the higher wattage for stands that hold my device all day. The Anker stands are 40 bucks (not on sale) the NFC chips in the certified stands drive up the cost because Apple. Would cost a fortune to replace them all (I own 5 stands). The Anker Certified stand is what like 150 bucks? Yeah not dropping 750 bucks on chargers.

This was probably the most exciting thing about iOS for me. The only let down is that it’s not in iPadOS (yet). Do the new iPads have MagSafe? Would be awesome to have an iPad on a charge stand showing info in the kitchen.

I accidentally found the perfect dim clock a while back, try it and you will not be disappointed.

I like this feature….. it might make me keep my phone beside my bed… but that’s something I’m kinda happy I don’t do already… I like not sleeping right beside my phone… but I like this feature… I guess a deep dive into Focus settings will help… wait and see I guess…

"Home Hub" was written in title cases.

does it mean a hub for Homekit?

usually only homepod or ipad could do.
