Following the release of iOS 18 for the iPhone last month, Apple is preparing to release iOS 18.0.1 with bug fixes in the near future.

Generic-iOS-18.0.1-Feature-Real-Mock.jpg

We previously reported that Apple has been internally testing iOS 18.0.1, and today a private account on X with a proven track record of sharing iOS-related information said the update will have a build number of 22A3370.

We expect iOS 18.0.1 to be a minor update that hopefully addresses the following issues:

The update could also include security patches.

It is unclear when iOS 18.0.1 will be released to the public, but our best guess is the update will be available either this week or next week.

iOS 18.0.1 will precede iOS 18.1, which Apple previously announced will be released in October. Already available in beta, iOS 18.1 includes the first Apple Intelligence features for the iPhone, including writing tools, notification summaries, and more. Apple Intelligence is available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and any iPhone 16 model.

I wonder if its messing up the email app because my friend has said shes been emailing me and I havent gotten anything from her.....I wonder if the email app itself is messed up (if theres a bug in it) in ios 18.0. She has an ipad but I dont know what kind so maybe hers is just too old to get ios 18.

I would think at some point Apple would address the iPhone 16 claims of having WiFi7, yet performs like the iPhone 15 Pro WiFi6E. I put my WiFi7 HP laptop up against my 16 Pro Max Connected to an eero Max 7 mesh with 2Gbps Xfinity service. one simple question, does the 16‘s WiFi7 support the 320mhz channel width?

Hopefully its going to be today. I've had quite a few random app crashes including native apps like mail and settings crashing, touchscreen unresponsiveness when unlocking the phone and opening apps, stuttering UI animations (at the end of the pop up animation when opening an app) and other general glitchy annoynaces on my 15PM.

Hopefully battery life increases. My 15Pro has gone from 100% to 92% health since upgrading to 18. Battery life is significantly less that it was before.

Been through every feature, deleted new apps, turned off background refresh, disabled always on display. Pathetic that I cant use the features designed for the phone and it won't get me through the day im also a low usage user if I get to 3h30mins of on screen I lucky per day.

It is also HOT all the time so much so that I notice it in my pocket.

Cant tell you how disappointed ive been with this device since I got it. Never had any issues with my 11 pro and I sold it after 3 years with 93% health an my just over 12 month old phone has deteriorated that quickly.

Same here. Then suddenly, you get like 15 emails from the same person who attempted to send you the same email 15 times.

I've noticed all along my 15promax seems to have unrealistic battery health of 99% still, bought it first day and use it like a true fanboy. Yes it's always a bit warm but not hot but never just cold to the touch. Coming from a 11 pro it was below 80% after 2 years and the new battery was around 90% when I upgraded. No way the 80% charge feature is saving the battery that much.

Well you see heres the thing, this happened back in January too, so Im a lil confused. She did tell me one day she said I went to look when I sent the emails and I can't find it, its like it disappeared....so yeah Im not sure whats going on. I dont know if its her email system (comcast email etc.) or if its the MAIL APP. I dont know how old her ipad is either. I dont know if she can get ios 18. I use my computer for email I barely used my phone for email. I have gmail she has comcast. SO Im not sure. MAYBE one day I'll get the other emails she said she sent me one day

Is there really need to make an article about a patch version update coming soon? That title is clickbaity making people think there’s more than just bug fixes. It’s not like 18.0 where people will just manually refresh their software update screen for 30 minutes.

A few bugs I hope they fix.

1. CarPlay and Apple Music: the display of tracks can get stuck. Music still plays, but display will be frozen at end of a previous song.

2. All inboxes in mail can show just one inbox. You need to go one level up to re-enter it.

3. RCS messages fail and need to be re-sent as SMS.

4. Safari tabs hang.

I hope they fixed the annoying image batch conversion bug converting 48MP ProRAW to 48MP HEIC. When using Quick Actions>Convert Image>File Format: HEIF>Image Size: Original, only a 12MP 4032x3024 HEIC file is created because the 48MP 8064x6048 ProRAW DNG files saved to a folder on the device for batch conversion get incorrect dimensions in metadata.

Better late than never. This really taught me to not upgrade to an X.0.0 update again though. Both my Watch and iPhone are way less pleasant in daily use than before. Next time I’ll let you guys be the beta testers :p

Battery life of my 14PM has dropped significantly to the point I can’t even get through the day without charging. The mixed language keyboards (I use multiple languages) is a very nice idea but it’s not pleasant to work with yet for various reasons. Autocorrect for example has become not very smart to put it mildly. The solutions of calculations in chats are always wrong. Watch keeps hanging after certain notifications.

iOS 18 brings a lot of QoL updates and previously missing functionality to iPhone but my 14PM is now buggier than an Android phone lol

Also for the ProRaw/camera inconsistencies

I almost always wait until x.1 to upgrade, but this year installed a few days after release because of RCS. In the future, I'm going back to my original strategy of waiting.

I hope it fixes what appears to be the excessive battery drain on "Home & Lock Screen" that my 16 Pro seems to be suffering from. Seen some anecdotal reports of it happening on older phones too.

You have 8% less battery capacity than you had before, so your battery life is naturally less. That's unrelated to an upgrade unless the upgrade helped recalibrate a battery that was reporting incorrect health info. You're not going to get than 8% back and it will continue to drop with time. You can hope for code optimization or runaway processes to get fixed if they are causing unusual drain patterns, but keep in mind that each +0.1 is going to add more Apple Intelligence, hitting the NPU and network harder. If you turn on Apple Intelligence, you will probably see more battery drain, not less.

Allegedly it doesn't support 320mhz. I've seen someone on twitter post a test made by some French website that showed it only supports 160mhz.
