My iP14PM still hasn't auto update. Perhaps it's waiting for this update before it starts the process. I leave all my stuff to auto update these days. iPhones, iPads, Watch, HomePod, Apple TV, iMac, MBA...

Has anyone been having their phones screens go black and then it restarts on there own ? I've experceinced that 2 times on my iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Apple should address the touch screen issues. It's concerning that they haven't and it's preventing me from buying a new phone.

(Even if Apple addressing it would be their usual "small number of users" pablum. It's better than ignoring it).

I would think at some point Apple would address the iPhone 16 claims of having WiFi7, yet performs like the iPhone 15 Pro WiFi6E. I put my WiFi7 HP laptop up against my 16 Pro Max Connected to an eero Max 7 mesh with 2Gbps Xfinity service. one simple question, does the 16‘s WiFi7 support the 320mhz channel width?

WiFi 7 allows for multi-link (5 and 6GHz bands at the same time for example); otherwise, you may as well have a 6E device.

Make sure you are using the same test site on your speed test.

(Your router may tell you what bands your phone is connected to.)

I installed 17.7 as I was going on holiday just after IOS18 came out and am waiting now for the update, iPhone 15PM, I'm glad I didn't update it now, I haven't been prompted to update either my iPhone or iPad.

when tapping to wake it would automatically open a random app for some reason. never used to do this.

Hoping for a watch update soon too. If I go into the health app and look up devices there’s over 10 of them. Most say no data and no way to delete.

Mods if this is the wrong place to post please move accordingly. I posted it here as the health app resides on phone.
ditto

It’s been almost 3 weeks. No comment.

Agreed. If memory serves, usually the 0.1 update comes out the first week after major release. Kind of surprising (to me) it's taking this long and likely bumping up against the rollout of 18.1 this month.

Especially with iOS 18 still not being available for the latest iPads....

Is anyone seeing issues with AirPlay being unable to connect to speakers? I hit it semi-regularly on my new iPhone 16 Pro. Not clear if it is specific to the new phone, a regression in iOS 18, etc. It is really annoying me!

Icons missing, contextual menus missing options (Safari), system lag, OS freezing…

Looks like it’s not happening today.

This is the first X.0 version I’ve installed in a long time. The first day or so seemed fine, but I now seem to find a new issue just about every day. Battery life on my 14 Pro Max has taken a nosedive (battery health the same). I hit 20% around 4 PM—about 3 or 4 hours earlier than I was getting on iOS 17. I have camera issues, safari issues, RCS issues… the list goes on.

YUP Ive been saying this too....no one wanted to believe me. I even told APPLE support and they assured me no....I said yea well you get paid to tell us that.
I feel like that’s more your email provider unless you’re using an icloud.com address?

I agree, there are a load of bugs, but when there’s a non-apple cook in the kitchen, especially if you have a Comcast email, that’s the issue.

That indicates to me that there are a lot of issues and they want to address them. I would be ok with iOS 18.0.1 and 0.2 a week later for missed fixes 🤣

There’s still time. A lot of these hot fixes tend to be dropped later in the day, especially if a beta is released around noon central time like it did today.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but there is a small 400MB+ update for iOS 18.0 that is coming up on some devices. I saw it on devices we ordered via the carriers but not on Apple retail procured devices.

I want Apple to take the time needed to get out a good release. I really don't want another bricked device. :-(

The OS is just so complicated now.

There not everywhere may be an issue, I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max with no touchscreen issues. Possibly it's a defect from a certain batch or location but it's not every phone by any means.
