hope it fixes more than just what has been mentioned.
i have a 16 pro (set up as a new device - not restored from previous iphone) and it has numerous issues.

- camera keeps crashing, only a reboot fixes it until it happens again
- iphone get very laggy, again only a reboot fixes
- one morning i woke up (the phone being on charge using supplied cable and apple charger) and the phone was red hot and borderline non responsive - had to reboot
- randomly alarms don't work - have a daily alarm at 7am, i woke up the morning at 7:30 with the screen showing the alarm had activated (waiting for me to silence it), yet the iphone was making no sound, another morning it didn't activate at all.
- the "find my" widget doesn't display properly - just a white square.

i'm sure i could come up with some other issues if i wait long enough.

I wonder if its messing up the email app because my friend has said shes been emailing me and I havent gotten anything from her.....I wonder if the email app itself is messed up (if theres a bug in it) in ios 18.0. She has an ipad but I dont know what kind so maybe hers is just too old to get ios 18.
I tried using the mail apps "Maildrop" option to share some images and when trying to attach the images from photos it crashed. So yep could well be, although I havent had any issues sending and receiving. Been seeing alot of crashing, yet nothing in the logs.
My bet is... TOMORROW!
Noooooooo not tomorrow, I cant wait that long 😁:p

Please fix the bugs in photo app, incl the missing locations for trip views and thick gaps in between thumbnails in dark mode.

Also the safari highlights not available for most of the users.

Hopefully, they'll release iOS 18.0.1 at minimum today. I'd like to stop using my iPhone 12 and replace it with my iPhone 16 Plus (since Apple recommends using the latest version of iOS on my iPhone 12 before doing the transfer, I think).

Yea I dont know, I dont know if its the mail app itself causing the problems or if its her comcast email causing issues. She did just write me 30 min ago and I got that, so who knows. Whole thing is a mystery

I have a 16 Pro (256GB) that I setup using the iPhone transfer feature. Copied everything over from my old iPhone 14 Pro and have experienced none of the issues mentioned above.

I almost always wait until x.1 to upgrade, but this year installed a few days after release because of RCS. In the future, I'm going back to my original strategy of waiting.
New watch forced an iOS update, stupid Apple. Given any chance at all for a secure phone and I'm done with Apple.

Hoping for a watch update soon too. If I go into the health app and look up devices there’s over 10 of them. Most say no data and no way to delete.

Mods if this is the wrong place to post please move accordingly. I posted it here as the health app resides on phone.

A few bugs I hope they fix.

1. CarPlay and Apple Music: the display of tracks can get stuck. Music still plays, but display will be frozen at end of a previous song.

2. All inboxes in mail can show just one inbox. You need to go one level up to re-enter it.

3. RCS messages fail and need to be re-sent as SMS.

4. Safari tabs hang.
For some reason, ever since the update my Pandora is not working correctly on Carplay.

Has anyone got this issue?

Hopefully its going to be today. I've had quite a few random app crashes including native apps like mail and settings crashing, touchscreen unresponsiveness when unlocking the phone and opening apps, stuttering UI animations (at the end of the pop up animation when opening an app) and other general glitchy annoynaces on my 15PM.

This is why I have held off on updating my 15 Pro. I was hoping it would be released today, but I’m sticking with 17.7 for now.

Just bought a $1200 Ipad Pro that is a lovely paper weight since its stuck on 17 and my backup is on 18. Apple, do not send me a survey.

For me, the notification forcing the Lock Screen to stay on at full brightness bug, even if it is set to disabled needs to be resolved.

A reboot of the phone fixes the issue temporarily, or disabling the always on display, but the bug returns...and if you get any notification, the screen is nice and bright for....as long as you let it. You can press the lock button and the screen goes back to whatever setting you had it to, but the next notification makes it nice and bright again. There seemingly is no time limit for the display to return back to dim, or off.

Hopefully battery life increases. My 15Pro has gone from 100% to 92% health since upgrading to 18. Battery life is significantly less that it was before.

Been through every feature, deleted new apps, turned off background refresh, disabled always on display. Pathetic that I cant use the features designed for the phone and it won't get me through the day im also a low usage user if I get to 3h30mins of on screen I lucky per day.

It is also HOT all the time so much so that I notice it in my pocket.

Cant tell you how disappointed ive been with this device since I got it. Never had any issues with my 11 pro and I sold it after 3 years with 93% health an my just over 12 month old phone has deteriorated that quickly.

I recommend you to disable Apple Intelligence if you are not using it, any LLM is a burn resource packet

hopefully this will fix my camera button crashing the springboard and my emails despite showing the number of new unread emails in the icon, needs a full pull/fetch before actually showing them.
