You have an iPhone SE 2022. It's impossible for you to get Apple Intelligence on that phone. Apple Intelligence itself doesn't even use iCloud storage for the devices that do support it.

Something else is taking up your iCloud storage. Have you gone into Settings -> Account -> iCloud -> Storage to see what's taking up space?

Are you using iCloud Photos and recently recorded a video? That takes up iCloud storage.
Are you using Messages in iCloud and someone sent you videos/pictures? That takes up iCloud storage.
Did you download a large file in Safari? Those save to your iCloud Drive and take up iCloud storage.
Third-party apps can use iCloud storage. Did a third-party app upload something to iCloud?
Do you have an old phone or secondary device in iCloud Backup? That could have "doubled your storage".
This list goes on and on. A multitude of things could have happened, but it 100% wasn't Apple Intelligence.

Start a new thread and post a screenshot of your iCloud storage; maybe someone can help.
I have 1 photo 0 songs 0 videos 25 contacts 0 texts and my storage doubled. Make it make sense. I dont use third party apps. THEREFORE theres no reason my storage went from 57mb to 87mb when i updated to 18.0.0 it also just kept doubling with each update. Like right now Im on 18.3.1 and its at 192mb and theres 25 contacts 0 texts 1 photo 0 videos 0 songs

No problem! I was pointing out the on-device functions on the Samsung aren’t equivalent Apple standards useless.
"aren’t equivalent Apple standards useless."
I, uh. I have no idea what you're trying to say here...

None of those are unique or interesting.
That's a list of 3 out of 9 on my S24 Ultra:

- call assist (realtime translation during calls)
- chat assist (translation for texts, writing composer, writing style changer, AI-enabled grammar/suggestions)
- Interpreter (realtime translation, not during calls)
- note assist (reformat, summarize, spellcheck, translate, AI generated covers and images; in Samsung notes)
- transcript assist (transcribe and translate voice memos)
- browsing assist (summaries and translation of web pages)
- photo assist (generative AI-enabled editing, object eraser, etc)
- drawing assist (generative sketch to image, sketch on photo to edit)
- photo ambient wallpaper (AI changes the look of your wallpaper based on weather)

Well said. It will fall on deaf ears because it's considered by some around here tantamount to blasphemy to acknowledge that something, anything done by any other company has utility or merit. You can't convince someone of something once they've dug their heels in even though Jobs was famous for having "strong opinions loosely held." More people should reflect on that.

Said it back in September… it was going to take until after ios 19 release. Apple needs to stop with this ****.

I’m so sick and tired of feature announcements at a WWDC in June for software on new hardware in September just to show its features that inevitably never release with the device, or takes until 3/4 of the software cycle to be released.
You are not the only one sick and tired of such shenanigans at Apple. Apple NEED to dial down their antics in fun marketing and get down to serious business.

THAT is their inherent problem! There is NOBODY that truly takes ANY project or endeavor SERIOUSLY that is left! Jon Srouji the lead for their M series processors hasn't been shown in ANY of their broadcasts in over a year ... has left? I consider him an elite and a SERIOUSLY hard worker ... and like a said nobody serious is left at Apple.

I feel many executives take their jobs or granted.
This is what happens when you let project managers set the timelines instead of developers. It's a tale as old as time. I'll never forget the time I told a project manager I needed double the time she allotted me for the features she wanted and she said "No, writing code is no different than writing an email."

She got the feature she allocated time for and looked like an idiot in front of the stakeholders when it didn't work right.
No ... THIS is what happens when you leave Craig F. in charge! NOTHING worthwhile has he really produced: before or after Forstall's push out of exodus. More and more this is becoming obvious that Tim made a BAD decision on this.

Wasn't it Craig that was shown off initially as brining Ai to the team and that he was the sole that made it important? After the first 3mths he's been in some serious hiding. Seems teet time is happening behind the curtens to protect him from on up high. Dispicable really.
After watching lots of videos comparing AI remover from Samsung vs iPhone dude it’s really disgusting years behind. If needs years to polish go delayed it but iOS 18 has nothing with AI working as properly.
indeed. That's why I've droped my 'going back to iOS experiment' in 1wk on an iPhone I used to truly love using. a major difference that 1.5yrs makes with iOS and its for the worse! This is even without access to ai features on the model I chose. back on Android happily I am.
ans that after every ios release, I have to go in and disable AI again. At least they stopped enabling bluetooth after ev
This is assinine to me! I cannot even share pictures in iOS Gallery to the iPhone or from the iPhone via Bluetooth - a default global standard for decades across EVERY phone OS (feature or smartphone OS) in existence - save for Danger, inc's Sidekicks initially). Apple's reason 'safety' which is PURE HOGWASH-BOGGLE-SHOW!

I can’t wait for this.

This will really show how useful Apple Intelligence is. I have high hopes since they have been working on it for such a long time. I hope I won’t be disappointed.
Only in their ads bub, only in their ads. IF they haven't got it right by now there never will.
I mean it’s obvious that Apple lags behind in AI. You have to admit, it is a bit shocking, especially considering they were early to the AI Assistant game with Siri.
Bro!

Please search youtube for 'Apple Knowledge Navigator' circa 1984 and although you'll be delighted watching it (not just Ai demonstrated by agents as well) you'll come away even MORE PISSED how far a vision Apple had then!

Like I said above the REAL developers & engineers have almost all long left Apple! Ave, Forstall, etc etc, and Srouji I wonder if he's just dealing with family crisis in Isreal as the only reason we haven't seen him with anything related with M series SoC's. He's been THE MAC-Daddy-SoC-PIMP [after the original engineers left Apple for Nuvia then QC] and Apple changed their direction of the M-Series early in development.

where is Srouji Apple? Bring him back!!

I'm sorry @I7guy .... by downvoting the second poster above you kinda exactly demonstrated what he posted. And you're amongst the more open minded and level-headed tech users on this forum.

Kind of sad because everything the first poster said has worked Day 1 on the Galaxy S24 at launch as well as Day 1 full features on my Galaxy S23 upon deployment in late March 2024. I use many of them daily to be honest.

Some of those features are compounded in more usefulness on a foldable like Galax y Z Flip 5/6 or the Fold Z 5/6.

Yes these are features provided by Google, yet in partnership with Samsung which eventually gets pushed to their OEM competitors that simply just use different marketing names for the same features - mostly [Translations, Summaries and the link for Samsung Notes is unique to Samsung only]

The biggest take-away is Samsung Dex desktop most directly from USB-C port with USB-C to USB-C cable to an external monitor for a full destkop experience.

The fatal flaw in Apple's Ai endeavors is that iPhone is a "phone" 1st and foremost and now their trying to keep everything that is what it is into a smartphone second. its kind-of backwards.

What AI features are still missing? It’s been so long since they announced them, I’ve forgotten entirely. Glaciers are getting an esteem boost lately with how slow Apple are.

At least we might get a robotic iPad no one asked for within 10 years.
Dude ... you're not wrong about that Glacier analogy lol.

Who's fault is that at Apple? Look who's been in charge of Ai and Siri since!!

And a robotic iPad?? Seriously THAT excites you?! ?? basically an iPad on a Segway?!!
You need a vacation friend for real ;) For Apple's sake its a LOT more than that.

Delay it some more

Ended up turning off Apple Intelligence on the one device I have that supports it (Mac)

Only thing of value to me at this time is the Image stuff in Photos .. but I really don't even "need" that (just tried it out for the sake of it) -- I'm personally someone who leaves photo content as it is and only does cropping and small lighting & WB tweaks if needed. I like photos to represent what I took at the time.

The rest of it was either of no interest to me or actively annoying (like terrible suggestions for replies in Messages)

Ideally, they'll eventually allow folks to toggle certain things on/off

Just one big "on/off" switch is going to lead me to keeping it "off", barring some dramatic improvements

Keep delaying it.

I know some folks are using parts of Apple Intelligence, and getting enjoyment out of it, but so much of it is also just hot garbage.

Apple Intelligence has been available for months now, and in fact in other threads people are complaining loudly about Apple daring to turn it on by default.

Apple was very clear about what was coming when. And there is zero indication that “upgraded Siri” won’t be supported by the 16s or 15 Pros.
Apple was clear it would be in iOS 18. They demonstrated Personal Context and an updated Siri. And Apple Intelligence is currently in Beta.

If they don’t deliver a non-beta version of Apple Intelligence with what was shared at WWDC 2024 prior to the launch of iPhone 17, there would be at least reasonable grounds to explore a class action suit. It would be smart for them to not release iPhone 17 until they fulfill their marketing claims for iPhone 16.
