Sleep Timer reset in podcast app is still not possible with this latest beta.
If you select 5 min sleep timer for example, the time runs and you select 5 min again, it doesn’t reset to the full 5 min.
Same happened with iOS 17 and was then added back with 17.1 or 17.2.

Installing public beta 6. Hoping for some improvements! Mainly device heating and battery life! The posts above sound promising 😃

I hope the wounds will "heal" and I will wait for your feedback.. I am still hesitating whether to write this version 👼

Beta 8 and you still can’t get rid of this…. This one is a little surprising that it hasn’t been addressed.

I just updated to iOS 18 PB 6, first bug I found: the clock widget on the lockscreen shows the time of Cupertino (I had it configured to show the time of Seoul)

Oh boy, classic click recognition before animation finishes 🥳

Not replicable on 11Pro (max 60Hz) but it might be on anything with 120Hz screen - is that Your case?

IMHO better to report even if hard to replicate. It should never happen

Y’all noticed that music haptics work again in almost every song in the Music app? Before in beta 6-7 developer beta iOS 18, only a handful of songs had music haptics and when you switch it on it would not cause synchronized vibration on your iPhone.

They FINALLY fixed a pretty big security flaw in DB 8. Only saw it happening in Safari but basically if Face ID failed for autofill/password info and you tapped "Cancel", and then filled the password again, it would autofill your login credentials without requiring a passcode or Face ID. Looks like it's finally fixed in this beta and I can use Safari again.

In previous betas, up until 7, most icons were dark while in dark mode. There were a few rogue ones, but most were dark. Since beta 7, no icons are dark. They’re all light.
Weird on my iPhone XR this does not happen to me, all are dark icons. I set mines to dynamic and on the 8th developer beta iOS 18.

I noticed that my Lock Screen widgets disappeared in and out of nowhere in the previous iOS 18 developers beta 7, which is public beta 5. I did submit a bug report to Apple via the feedback app and over a lot of people like you have this bug.

Are you still having that issue with this one?

Anyone seeing this issue with call waiting? In iOS 18.0 beta, it’s been coming in like this and is not very intuitive. Not sure why it’s just coming in as a separate call, vs in the same screen.

Feedback ID?
Out of curiosity as I use Home Assistant not Home App - what happen when you click “Connect Account”?

Anyways totally agree that there should be [x] or [Dismiss] button on it or some other way instead of trying to set it up - but it’s missing and real UX nightmare.

The control center in landscape mode looks much better, before it looked very disorganized
Really nice they work on it, there is improvement but still some (way less than before) widgets are missing at all in landscape mode (not moved to other pages, simply lives in NullPointer World). In this case below “Now Playing” is gone and layout is… questionable quality.

Naturally reported once again as it drives my gears 😅

Widgets are not disappearing in and out anymore in Lock Screen.

This is applicable for users who have a Dynamic Island on their iPhone 14 Pro and all iPhone 15 models. If y’all have a notch like the regular iPhone 14 models and earlier, it will show as an incoming call full screen.

anyone having the issue on 15pm where editing contact posters is extremely sluggish, almost unusable. b7 and b8 both

Very early days lol I installed it and went to sleep. Zero drain overnight. Performance feels good this morning! I have MacRoumers on my Home Screen and it’s the quickest it’s ever opened on public beta 6 😄😅

Phone is cool and no real battery drain since installing beta 8. Feels solid just like beta 7 did on my 15 Pro Max.

This morning after disconnecting it from the charger I still had a "heat up episode" on my 15PM. It went as follows:

- 6:15: disconnect phone from the charger, it's already warm
- check CPU stats, it's using 25-30% CPU constantly
- killed all apps (I know, shouldn't be needed): RAM was freed, still same CPU usage, still warming up
- after 5 minutes of waiting, I rebooted the phone
- after the reboot, CPU usage was at 100% for another 5 minutes

It eventually settled down. The whole thing drained 9% of battery in 10 minutes. Let's chalk it up to "it was still indexing" (even though it should have done that during the night while charging and stop when being disconnected from the charger). Let's see how it behaves over the next days, but it for sure doesn't feel normal.
