Hard reset I tried already, but IPSW installation I can’t do, I do not have a computer - I have to go to the Apple Store for this, that’s why I wait for the RC on 9/9
Somebody help me with this as I'm not sure if it's a bug or by design now.
When I set the icons to "Automatic" they stay/change Dark even during the day time with only the wallpaper changing to light mode. Only way to have Light icons is to select Light mode.
Anyone else seeing this?
Does the dark mode suppose to change the icons to be dark too ? Because I remember thats the way it worked in previous betas but not in Beta 8. It is a Bug?
It’s dark mode by default but I remember in one of the earlier betas it used to switch just the icons to light during the day when set to Automatic. Is your iPhone itself in the light mode when it happens?

Thanks, I didn't see the Auto option for the icons, already setted that. Will look how it works now. It's strange too because I don't remember changing anything related to that config, maybe in the update the Icons setup changed to default or something like that. They are two separate things. If you set your icons to Auto, then when your iPhone is in light mode the icons are meant to be light too, when your iPhone is in dark mode - so are the icons. However, if you set your icons to a particular state (Light or Dark, not Auto), then they will stick to it regardless of your iPhone light or dark mode.
Not an anomaly but it’s definitely a changed behavior. Not a fan as dark mode icons are useless outside in the bright sun. Now I gotta change it to light if I’m outside and to dark when inside or at night. If your iPhone is set to dark mode and the icons to Auto, then the icons should be dark too, no anomaly there.
After almost a full day, no complaints here... I haven't experienced any of the heat issues that others report, and after a few hours, the battery seems fine on my 14PM. There's always re-indexing and such after installing a new version of iOS, but I've not experienced any real issues since joining the iOS 18 beta train at DP4. Obviously, YMMV.How is heat and battery life?
I think final public release will happen on the day of event.Beta 8. Let's goo. This indicates that Apple will be skipping next week. Releasing the RC build on 9/9. Full release 9/16.
Absolutely not they need to release the RC so developers can finalize things before public release.I think final public release will happen on the day of event.
My alarm is disabled these daysHow far from Alarm does the Optimised Chaging turns off and starts charging in your case? 1h or something like 2.5 ? Does it adapt to different Alarms or takes always the same hour?
Asking as they for sure improved it I think as it kicks always and really keeps 80% even when used since 2-3 Betas.
Yeah I get that. I wouldn’t worry about visual bugs like this. It would be fixed ‘eventually’.Is anyone, facing the issue where icons are not rendered properly after a restart?
It is happening to my first folder in the dock. The icons render ok when the folder is expanded. Have to go to wiggle mode move one icon out and move back into the folder to resolve the issue

Oh no... almost exact issue was just solved but was related to apps removed by System due to not using them for a long time (always forgets the name of it).Is anyone, facing the issue where icons are not rendered properly after a restart?

I do, regularly.Does anyone else use the Home buttons in Control Center to turn items on and off? Now you have to press the device button then an additional step to set the light level for that item. How can I get back the simple on/off toggle?
Apparently this does work if you press specifically on the bulb in the icon. Thank you.I do, regularly.
Just tap the icon and the light will come on (to whatever brightness it was on before). A second quick tap turns it back off.
