Nah, he’s been pretty spot on for the most part.
Apple has only said its arriving December. 17.2 RC, 16.2 RC each had the public release 6 days later. 15.2 RC was 6 days also but a RC2 pushed it 3 days more. So if the RC arrived tomorrow on Wednesday, it might be next Tuesday for the public.
Given all the attention on Tuesday, If we don’t get RC on Wednesday might as well forget the rest of week.

Why would they stop signing it before the RC even came out? Is it possible the public release will be today and they skipped the RC altogether?
That is a possibility, yes.
If they’ve decided to skip the RC, I wonder if that means we might get iOS 18.3 Developer Beta 1 today as well?
It normally seems the downgrade option is removed about a week before the public release. 18.1.1 is still available as an option. I'm guess this is pointing to us getting a RC today and public is coming Tues / Weds next week. That would put us the normal week out. Could be Monday next week as well. But this is is shaping up to being close to a public release in some fashion.
This is a completely inaccurate statement. For example we just had a RC for 18.1. It was released Oct 21st.
Offtopic but I wish iSpeedtestOS would be also on Bluesky or Threads. Kind of annoying that he is still only on X.
