I think we’ll get new updates today! Maybe we’ll get the public release of iOS 18.2 today, or at least the iOS 18.2 RC. If we get 18.2 public release today, then maybe we’ll get the 18.3 beta 1 today, or maybe we’ll still get it even if we get the RC, since they’re a couple days deeper into the week than usual, and the first beta for the next update has typically come a bit deeper into the week. 👍🏻

If they’ve decided to skip the RC, I wonder if that means we might get iOS 18.3 Developer Beta 1 today as well?

I also think we will get the final release today somehow. That’s maybe why we heard so many release rumors for the 3rd December and 9th December.

I know some people don’t like Gurman but he’s very often correct. He definitely has some good connections who work at Apple or have a deeper inside. There could have been an internal change at Apple related to the release date. We don’t know.

I feel like they’re going to release the final today and will deliver a small update before christmas for fixing bugs. They’ll also release the 18.3 beta before Christmas. That’s my guess.

Why wouldn’t they? The stated reason you disagreed with the possibility of iOS 18.3 Beta 1 dropping alongside iOS 18.2 RC was because more people might skip over testing 18.2 RC. If they aren’t dropping an RC version, but a fully realized public release, then that would no longer be a potential problem. I believe the last two times, the first developer beta dropped on like a Tuesday or a Wednesday. They could drop it Thursday, but that’s pretty late in the week…

RC Tuesday?
If it’s not an RC today, then there likely won’t be an RC in my opinion. I think they either release an RC today, or they release the public version of 18.2 today and skip an RC. I don’t think it’s likely they’ll release an RC next week, because I believe 18.2 will be getting a public release by December 9th at the latest.

what are you on? 😂
Public release today. No chance. That makes no sense.
I know this is all about speculation, but come on.
And what was it yesterday, or the day before, two iOS releases in the same day for two different builds 🤯

Let's be a touch realistic, surely.

Apple has been unpredictable with iOS 18 release. It’s not likely but possible that we see a final release today.

I’d say no no too for 18.2 and iOS 18.3 on same day.

iOS 18.2 RC today 18.3 beta 1 tomorrow

I think @gwhizkids just likes to say “no”…

Gwhizkids pays attention to patterns. Nothing more, nothing less.

One pattern that I don’t believe has ever been deviated from is that they don’t release two different versions of iOS on the same day.

Patterns can always be broken. Apple has done a bit of that this year (e.g., more Monday releases and the 18.1 early beta release) but I believe that the “don’t release two different versions of iOS on the same day” one will be broken anytime soon.

@gwhizkids said it was possible that 18.2 would publicly release this morning, so if he’s saying it’s possible, I don’t know why I’d have to be on anything. 😂👍🏻

As to the iOS 18.3 beta 1, every time so far with iOS 18 we’ve gotten a first beta from the next version of iOS released close to the RC for the current beta. But if they skip the RC altogether, I don’t see why they couldn’t/wouldn’t possibly release that today.

I was just friendly ribbing you, I hope you didn’t take any offense. 👍🏻
