Another upgrade we don’t need. Apple is doing a fine job of delivering iOS 18. I have no complaints with the rollout. But I do have a complaint about is that we won’t even have had time to use the full iOS 18 before they’re wanting us to start looking at iOS 19. I’m getting sick and tired of this. Give us an operating system. Give us a chance to use it. Give us a chance to find bugs and make suggestions that update. There is no need to update unless there is a need to update.

A more ChatGPT-like Siri? Hahaha! At this point, they need to put Siri out of her misery, give her a dignified funeral, and maybe even a touching eulogy “She tried her best… but being born deaf didn’t help.” Then, rise from the ashes with a next-level AI assistant, fresh name, fresh personality. How about Timothy? Sounds reliable. Timothy wouldn’t ignore half your requests or misinterpret set a reminder as play Despacito. Apple needs fresh leadership. “Timothy AI” could become Tim’s legacy. Lol.

I would like to see more default options, such as a default music app selection.
That is an odd exclusion. Being able to change the music default doesn’t make it easier for people to switch to other music platforms honestly. Even I had to look up how to change the defaults. I know plenty of non-tech people on iPhones but that use Spotify exclusively.

I have one request and one only, and I submit it as feedback every year. Give a toggle to block unknown/no caller ID calls, specifically. Not send them to voicemail, not send them a dumdum, block them.

Block calls not in your contact list is not an option. I get dozens of calls per day from numbers I don't recognize, but they do have numbers, and I have to take them.

Le, sigh.... 😞

A staggered release again, so basically with software they have somehow got themselves a year behind what they feel they need to market.
Staggered releases would be fine in general if they separated the feature track from the bugfix track. Then both “I want any new feature ASAP” and “please don’t change the UI every month” users would be happy. In addition, decouple first-party app updates from OS updates. Of course, that’s too much work for such a small company.

So chat GPT-like Siri available ALREADY in iOS 19? Ain’t that too early? They should take some time to polish it, do not rush it!
I think he meant “as early as iOS 19”.
