Anyone else still have these two bugs on iPhone 15 pro
1. Random screen dimming. Only solution is to turn lock screen on and then back off and then screen returns to normal brightness but the random bug happens multiple times a day

2. iMessage is still not showing all photos in the photos tab. Have tried all the things. Reported and sent logs and screenshots etc to Apple who said it’s an indexing issue. Anyone else?

I don't think that would be exclusive to this model phone. Have observed this behavior on 11 Pro Max as well as my. friend’s 17 Pro Max

I had a few conversations that didn't have the "photos" tab, but now they all have it. Not sure if it was beta 2 that fixed it or if it actually needed to index.

Just updated. Happy to report that all of the UI bugs I found have been fixed in this beta. The Dock is now Liquid Glass even when you have the search button showing, the search icon in the photos app no longer glitches when you scroll to the bottom and the drop shadow that shows behind text on the lock screen no longer look black when on top of a white background.

Are all the photos from the text threads now in the correct photo tab? I have the photo tab but a lot of photos from text threads are missing and show as blank white squares. There is a work around for this. Go to the search bar and type in the person’s name and then photos and it will show all the photos eg: “Max Smith Photos”.

Here’s a thread about this bug

Also if you use it constantly use the text replace feature, I have it linked to “applelogo”
I use text replacement for a lot of special characters:

My iPhone 13 is running great very smooth. My only complaint is battery Life took a pretty good hit starting with beta 1 and still the same with beta 2. Barely lasts a day now, whereas before I had power to spare at bedtime. Oh well, not complaining really, just commenting my observations. C’est la vie
We are using an iPhone 14 on iOS 26.0.1 and it’s super laggy compared to the last version of iOS 18. It’s a work phone and had to update, so there’s work telemetry apps running and likely slowing it down.

Really hope 26.1 final is good like the beta is for you aside from the battery. Could be a lot of logging and caching going on. I see the logs of my CPU running over 50% for too long and RAM use is high in some apps and then crashing the app in log files on my iPhone 17 Pro. Hopefully beta 3 fixes some of that and devs update their apps.

Can someone test invoking the search function in App Library? On iPhone 15 when you lift the finger after swiping down it freezes for a second.
You mean like this, hiding keyboard?
Not a 15, but I had this problem since the first iOS 26 beta, Reminders become completely unresponsive and have to be force closed.

To get the beta over-the-air:
  1. Enable Beta Updates (Settings > General > Software Updates > Beta Updates)
  2. Make sure you’re signed into the right Apple Account
  3. Select which beta you’d like to receive (public/developer beta)
  4. Hit "Back" and pull down to refresh
  5. Back up to a computer or to iCloud
  6. Install the beta
If you no longer wish to receive beta updates:
  1. Turn off the Beta Updates (you can also sign out of your Apple Account to reset this setting)
  2. Wait for the next public release or follow the guide below to go back to a release build
Troubleshooting: If the beta doesn’t show up on your phone, try turning on airplane mode, then turning it back off, or restart your device.

How to install using a Mac?
  1. You’ll need the Xcode beta itself or a MobileDevice.pkg somebody extracted from the beta (click with two fingers or control-click), then choose Show Package Contents. Go to Contents/Resources/Packages. - this will work on older Macs that do not support the latest macOS or Xcode betas)
  2. Back up to your Mac or to iCloud in case you need to go back to another version
  3. Hold down Option, then click on ‘Check for Update’/‘Restore iPhone...’ and select the IPSW file you downloaded from the Apple Developer site. Note: You must be connected to the internet to complete the restore.
  4. Enter your iPhone passcode if you’re prompted to do so.
Notes/Tips:
  • Always keep a backup in case you need to restore your phone
  • Restoring wipes your settings and all data on your iPhone
  • You only need to reinstall MobileDevice.pkg if your Mac stops recognizing your iPhone
  • There is no MobileDevice.pkg equivalent to iTunes for PC which would require a new iTunes to support new/beta iOS
  • Upgrading to a newer iPhone? You can update using your Mac before setting up the phone

Like the video attracted. Doesn’t matter how fast or slow I swipe, after lifting my finger it will freeze for a second.
