This should have been there as soon as the action button was added, and if not then when the CAMERA BUTTON was added.
ah it's not a direct solution but yeahaccessibility, touch, tap or swipe to wake - turn it off. The downside is that you'll have to press the side button to wake the phone up, but I can live with that vs accidentally taking photos and videos ...
Most of the time I pick the phone up to unlock so don't have to do the side button too often, but I will turn it on again with this new toggle
that's why I called it a workaroundah it's not a direct solution but yeah
you can't do that can you?I only use this swipe to turn off the flashlight 😛
You were proven wrong before you even managed to post your reply.Yo, only 1 person on the earth will turn it off...
In camera control you can also select "Double Click" which might make it less likely to launch accidentally.Yeah but now I'm accidentally launching the camera with the Camera Button! There's probably a way to turn that off, I haven't checked.
This is not for camera control, this is where you swipe left on the home or lock screen and it invokes the camera. I have been wanting to turn this off for years. In camera control you can also select "Double Click" which might make it less likely to launch accidentally.
My Gen Alpha swipes to open camera on all my devices. Drives me nuts.Probably the dumbest feature ever unless you're Gen Alpha
There is. Settings - Accessibility - Camera control - Toggle Off Camera Control.Yeah but now I'm accidentally launching the camera with the Camera Button! There's probably a way to turn that off, I haven't checked.
