The lag is still there when swiping from widget screen to home screen. What a joke.
This bug is driving me crazy. I tried to think that the app developers didn't adapt the system well at first, and wrote emails to many app developers, they couldn't find the problem, and finally realized that it is a bug in the SYSTEM, so it is so obvious, what APPLE's Beta versions are testing? This is the OFFICIAL version!

Safari has been TERRIBLY slow for me since 26.1 on iPhone 14.. My Wi-Fi is exactly the same, I've run Speedtest tests over several days and there are no problems ; no issues on my other devices either, pages load much faster on my laptop as usual. My configuration is exactly the same.

This started immediately after 26.1, and the only two apps I have in my multitasking (Telegram and Safari) reload very often as if there were a lack of RAM, which was not the case at all before with 26.0 or 26.0.1...

Does anyone else have a similar concern?

Haven’t gone thru all 10 pages, but when I connect my iPhone 16 Pro Max via an Apple cable, CarPlay crashes after about 45 seconds and that caused my head unit in my Impala to restart. Not good. Basically can’t connect my phone in my car right now. I’ve rebooted my phone and tried in my car on a few different t days. Keeps happening.

Re-pairing with the CarPlay and with a different cable perhaps?

Unfortunately yes, I though it is something with my router but it’s not. On chrome everything works well but on Safari very often Pages didn’t load at All as if there’s no internet. Reloading doesn’t solve the problem. Only closing tab and searching once again.

Do you have Private Relay enabled?

Jesus, my iPhone 13 has a ton of lag, glitches and freezes lately. Bought it brand new from Best buy like 6 months ago. Never experienced anything like this in 7 years of using iPhone.

I get this a lot when I’m in private browsing mode — pages just don’t load unless I force quit Safari and reopen it. So annoying.

this update fixed my photos app!
since iOS 18 been getting no photos available in the widget, no memories creator
both now working, i did delete and resync the photos after this update so that must have done the trick
this didnt work when i tried it with iOS 26.0

Is anybody using 26.1 on their iPhone and iPad? If so, how is the syncing between devices please? For example, are Safari iCloud tabs in sync across devices? Do changes to Reminders and Notes sync immediately, etc?

These things are working fine on iOS18, but in the past have been broken on a new OS and taken a while for Apple to sort out. (iOS13 I’m looking at you in particular!)

I’ve been using 26.1 on my work iPhone (and the 26 betas on a spare iPhone 11). My work phone is the iPhone 16 model and 26.1 is much better on that than the iPhone 11 has been on any 26 versions (as you might expect). I’ve not encountered any issues with the work phone on 26.1 so am thinking of updating my daily driver iPhone (which is a 15 Pro) to it, as well as my iPad. But if syncing isn’t working properly, I’ll hold off for now.

For a time both my iPad Pro and iphone were on 26.1. The ipad is on 26.2 right now. There were no syncing issues between the two in any app or function in 26.1. Syncing wasn’t an issue, but, 26.1 brought a number of new issues, mostly with Safari, onto my ipad. I haven’t experienced those same issues on my phone

Since upgrading to iOS 26.1, the Music app had a tendency to crash when I first open it. I have to open it a few times before it stops crashing at which point it works fine. No idea why this is. Fortunately it doesn’t crash while using it.

Is anyone else experiencing their AirPods randomly disconnecting and connecting to their watch? This and the MMS bug are driving me nuts…

I’m having the same issue. After every restart they get deleted. I reinstalled via IPSW with no luck.
Yeah I only restart because of the glitchy full screen album artwork on lockscreen not working sometimes. Eventually the home controls pop back up but it’s random when they do

Deleting and reinstalling the Music app appears to have resolved this.

I updated to 26.1 a few weeks ago and I've noticed multiple duplicate entries in the recent section of the countdown timer (which I use daily). It gets to 2 or even 3 each. If I delete one it deletes all of the same time. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? I have an se 2nd gen.

I love the liquid glass. I wish that they'd remove the app library or at least allow us to turn it off. I know that's not new to 26.

I’ve seen that in timers. I think since you can now set multiple timers it keeps the expired ones. I don’t know why deleting one deletes all of them. It could be a bug.

Updated my 16 pro to 26.1 last night, left in on the charger over night and in terms of battery performance, heating and speed on the phone it all works as it did with 18.7.2 No problems whatso ever.
Now, the UI glithes is a different story. I know its mostly cosmetic but some UI lag which funny enough isn't available on my regular 16. Strange that the pro suffers from these issues. The keyboard has round keys in some apps, and it changes from time to time.

Another issue is that badges sometimes covers the text on the home screen, and sometimes its under the text. Porob cuz i use zoomed mode but it wasn't like that iOS 18.

Hope they focus on sorting these glitches out and optimizing it even further on the Pro models.

I never had issues with Notes or Reminders syncing between devices (MBP, iPhone, iPad). Sometimes it'll take a minute but they always sync.
As for iCloud tabs, mine have gotten stuck on various OS updates, including 26.1. The only way for me to fix it is force-close Safari on all devices and turn off Safari sync in iCloud Settings.
Wait a few minutes and turn on Safari in iCloud on one device first. Open safari.
On the other device(s), do the same and it should start syncing again.

I did the fix on 26.1 and it's been working fine so far. I updated to 26.2b3 and now the RC and it's still working for me.

I’ve been using 26.1 on my iPhone 15 Pro and iPad Pro 11” 2018 model for almost two weeks now.

Syncing across devices has been working. (And long may it remain that way! 🤞🏻)

I’ve not encountered any legibility issues with Liquid Glass. I quite like the new look; it’s different, but still familiar. (I knew what to expect look wise anyway as I’ve been testing iOS 26 since the original beta on WWDC day on a spare iPhone 11.) It works much better/smoother on my 15 Pro compared to the iPhone 11 (as you’d expect from a phone that’s 4 years younger). I’m not overly keen on the effect around the app icons though, mainly because it just suddenly pops up around the icon when you close the app.

I’ve encountered the odd visual glitch; more so on the iPad.

Battery life is a little bit worse than 18 was on both devices.

I’m still getting used to the multitasking on iPad. From what I’ve seen, they’ve made improvements to it with 26.2 so I’m looking forward to trying that.

I use the floating on-screen keyboard on iPad and, instead of hitting the space bar, I keep accidentally hitting the “…” below the space bar (which brings up the option of using full or floating keyboard). Also the floating keyboard doesn’t seem to be able to be placed as far down the screen as it did on previous iPadOS versions.

I’m not liking the Mail app on iPad when used in portrait orientation. I can’t get rid of the list of emails in the inbox on the left hand side of the screen, so the email only displays on about half of the screen. Am I missing a setting somewhere? I’ve looked but didn’t see anything obvious in settings.

In Safari on iPhone I wish there was an obvious visual indicator that there’s other tabs open in the background like there was (when using the bottom bar) in iOS 18, without having to go into the ’all tab’ view to check.

My mum (who’s 69) updated her iPhone 13 Pro a couple of days ago to 26.1. Other than the search bars now being on the bottom which she said she needs to get used to, she’s got no complaints about it and hasn’t had any legibility issues from Liquid Glass.

anyone have a problem with the small battery widget on lockscreen not showing airpods case battery percentage? it displays the percentage for about a week then all of a sudden no longer shows the percentage. only way to get it back is to remove the widget and add it again.
