In my experience, 26.1 has been solid for me in performance and battery. I'm not a power user, but I check socials a lot, play some games, doomscroll reddit and even watch youtube. Still, the battery lasts

Super satisfied so far.

Noticed the same. The text at the top indicating what folder you are in likes to jump around and resize itself now
Yep. Pretty annoying cause I keep accidentally selecting the wrong mailbox cause it jumps around as I’m trying to tap the screen. Also, sometimes the word “Search” in the bottom search bar and the status (“Checking for Mail”, “Updated Just Now”, etc) don’t appear.

Just got a push notification to get ready for my new phone as well as the setup for add’l cloud storage in settings. 17 Pro that I’ve had for a month !!!! Hard reset and it’s still there.

Edit: Finally got rid of it. Went through the process, removed last device backup, signed out of iCloud account, rebooted, signed back in, did new backup. Now no longer there. Now I’ll go to iCloud on web and get rid of any leftovers.

26.1 keeps deleting my control center home controls. After upgrading it deleted them, added them again. Restarted my phone to fix the full lockscreen artwork not working (still ongoing glitch) and it deleted the again smh

Everything’s perfect in this update except for the annoying stutters when swiping through the Home Screen, widgets, or returning to Home. The lag gets even worse if the phone is limited to 60Hz. I’m using an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I’m not sure if this issue is specific to the 17 series, as it wasn’t present before the RC build.

Same, the stuttering is horrible in the home screens or returning to Home. Simply atrocious!

I can see a little bit of stutter on my iPhone 13 testphone when swiping between widgets and back, but its not present on the regular iPhone 16 I use at work at all.

I have a lot of UI issues I didn’t have in the 26.0 betas but other people had. Like in Safari, when suddenly the text above the address bar blurs. Notifications and apps don’t sync with my watch lately. I’ve reset my watch many times the last months but this has never been resolved.

Calling it atrocious doesn't even begin to cover it. I have the same problem on an iPhone 15 Pro, but this issue also occurs when swiping the controls within the camera app. Honestly, I don't understand how they can release an update with these interface bugs. Imagine someone who buys a 17 Pro and it comes with iOS 26.1 pre-installed, their face when they turn it on and see it, thinking, "€1319 for this? Priceless!" Sorry for my english

why it’s brightness up and dimming, see at the bottom of the screen. FRIENDS WHO CAN HELP? Iph 16 pro max

Are people experiencing these glitches on both IPSW and OTA installations, or is it only happening with IPSW? I didn’t have this issue with the first RC it only started after I installed the new public build via IPSW.

I have noticed the home screen swipe stuttering on a 17 Pro Max and 17, across the release 26.0, 26.0.1, 26.1 and all beta versions even 26.2. Like something is "stuck" or heavily processing that causes the jerks

Updated both my 13 mini (88% battery health) and 13 Pro (83% battery health) from 18.7.1 to 26.1 the other day. Had my expectations pretty low due to a lot of the general complaints on iOS 26. However, have been pleasantly surprised. Everything seems to run very smoothly on both devices. No delays, lagging, or stuttering so far. Likewise, not noticing a noteworthy difference in battery life between 18.7.1 and 26.1 on either device. Will share an update here if the experience changes over the next week or so.

Hi, in my case it always came from updates via OTA, and these lags or stutters have only appeared both in iOS 26 RC and in the final version released a few days ago, I have re-downloaded to iOS 26.0.1 which at least in my case works without interface problems. There are colleagues who say that this is also present in the betas of iOS 26.2. Let's say that attributable to background processes is not given that I spent a week with iOS 26.1 RC and it did not decrease. I also did the test of removing the widgets and putting them back in but it doesn't fix the problem

Something is absolutely wrong here and aapple needs to fix this asap. The jerky animations are extremely jarring

I'm very interested by your experience, because I have the exact same configuration, and after upgrading my 13 Pro, I'm very reluctant to upgrade my wife's 13 Mini.

I did 26.0 and every 26.1, and since 26.1 GA, my battery is better. But the micro stuttering is still bothering me (not awful but like a small stone in my shoe). I know that the perception is different between the 13P 120hz and the 13 mini 60hz.

For me - the sutter happens after u swipe to home and swipe between home screen pages. its an irritating jarring stutter. i hope apple can somehow update the system files and fix this annoying big. happens even on the normal 17. i removed all widgets

Apple underclocks the processor to save energy, which leads to various errors in graphics and animations. Just remember the square notifications. Apple is trying to reduce power consumption. You can clearly see this when an OTA update starts - the processor clocks up and the animations are smooth. It's been like this for several years now. Now add the energy-intensive Liquid Glass to the mix, and the result is that Apple is trapped. On one hand, people are complaining that the battery doesn't last, and on the other, that animations are stuttering.

Logically, if that’s the case, I’d expect the issue to return on my device at some point. 😅
Hey dude! I see you know about iPhones pretty well. Can you help me with some strange issue above I attached the video😕
And additional video with strange issue when the brightness goes up look at the bottom of the screen. Idk I haven’t seen this before since July when I bought iPhone 16 pro max but when I updated to the iOS 26 I noticed it since 4 days
Auto brightness OFF

My 16 Pro Max has a problem now with the music, it won’t play anything unless I actually go into the music app itself, also won’t let me pause or change a song from the control centre
