So? Who cares?

I still charge with a cable, use carplay with a cable, and sometimes update with a cable. I still use ethernet on my MacBook, as well.

I also only charge with a cable and always slow charge at night. Fast charging only for when I need it outdoors (via power bank, for example).

Wireless charging destroys the battery because it generates more heat vs a cable, which is far more efficient.

Yes, this is all I care about for 26.1
Carplay still freezes and crashes for me. I have a feeling it will eventually do the same for anyone who has been having issues.

I love CarPlay, and I give automakers a lot of 💩 if they decide to abandon CarPlay. That said, if Apple breaks CarPlay, I’m not sure how Apple can remotely expect automakers to hop on board for their next iteration of CarPlay. I’ve NEVER had a bug in a beta that i found to be unbearable until Apple broke CarPlay.

One thing I have noticed out of my large sample size of 2 vehicles is that CarPlay is FUBAR on our car with a smaller, older touch screen (2016 Ford), but works without issue in the car with a newer wider touch screen (2022 Kia).

Can’t say I experience the same. 21 Accord wireless CarPlay on a 16 pro max on 26.1.

Where is iOS 26.1 official release?
Made to wait in the corner

My wife’s car has a smaller screen on a small size suv and I have the same small suv but a newer model with a larger screen. Her car play is a mess. Siri doesn’t send text messages and the whole thing crashes regularly.

I have the same small SUV but a newer model with a larger screen and car play is flawless for me

I've dramatically changed the ways I charge my phone. Used to keep it on MagSafe stand ALL THE TIME, just a very bad habit I admit. - in my mind like a goof was "I need this at 100% all the time." Like some Battery OCD thing, ugh.

I keep it off most of the time now - with a brand new 4 week old Apple battery in my 13 Pro Max, it just sits next to me. I'll use slow charger to bump it to 80-85%, I'm fine, phone lasts me all day.
it coming under 32 mins
Thats what I was hoping, I guess tomorrow? 😐

About 500 MB OTA for 17 Pro from the RC. That’s fine to do this on the road from a mobile connection.

not sure if anyone else is having this issue. But my phone is lagging and alot. i open an app then it hangs even after i kill the app and try and re open this happens on any app and at random. Its driving me nuts
