I have a working theory about the alarm with no sound. On the charger, my Apple Watch had a message on it saying the iPhone was not in range (it was about 2" away from the iPhone). I took it off the charger and put it on my wrist. The watch then cycled through the no phone in range message, to a swirling constellation of dots usually shown during initial pairing, then to the main watch screen. The crazy thing is that when I went to unlock it it was already unlocked. That shouldn't happen, it should have been locked.

So, my working theory is that because the watch thought it was unlocked without being on a wrist, it gave alarm sound priority to the watch. I think that's the intended behavior for sleeping with the watch on. It's still not right that the watch thought it was unlocked (should have locked between wrist over to the charger last night, should have locked when I moved it from the charger to my wrist this morning). The watch is still on iOS 18, so not a beta issue on the watch, but maybe the beta on my iPhone set up some abnormal state.

I rebooted everything and I'll see what happens tomorrow morning.
Do you have wrist detection turned off?

you couldn't see how the screen at the bottom gets a little brighter?
Also, when I scroll through my Instagram, the screen gets lighter and then back, like at the video, even if it's not an HDR photo or video. Is this normal?
I bought my first iPhone and I’m worrying🥺🥺🥺
Help me please get a piece of advice

You are seriously so obsessed about this, it's not healthy. Your iPhone is totally fine. You are seeing perfectly normal behavior. If it bothers you, just switch to dark mode.

Thanks dude! I have a little bit worrying symptoms 🤝 because it’s my first iPhone. Wish you all the best!

Do those weird bright lines show up when actually using the device or is that just the camera capturing PWM banding? If visible with the naked eye I’d say, no, it isn’t normal

Only when the microphone is on, that is the dot lights up in the dynamic island, or when I exit the camera and the green dot is still on, or when I turn on the flashlight, or when a notification that 20% is left, my screen a little bit glowing. I shouldn’t worry? Can you test on your phone?
For example at the video:the green dot lights up because I swipe to the camera and my screen a little bit glowing. Or the second video I turn on flashlight and the screen a little bit glowing. Sorry for the bad English
The lines aren't appearing, which is the camera capturing PWM. When I scroll through Instagram, you can see it brightens up a bit in the video, even though the photo or video isn't HDR.
I shouldn’t worry?🥺🥺🥺

It's a beta. The risks are very well known and it's your fault and no one else.
Bro, people were saying that from 26 beta 1, and next to nothing has been fixed even in the public version. Apple, a trillion $ company is so broke they can only afford to 2 devs now, and no QC testers. It's becoming more apparent.

Do you honestly believe 2 devs can build and secure such a sophisticated OS for dozens of models and millions of active devices?

I agree with you that QA has gone downhill in the recent years, and it'd benefit us in the long run if they focused more on that instead of some of their recent questionable choices with the design. But outright dismissing the progress since the first beta is nonsensical. Things have improved considerably since beta 1 and this one in particular has been impressive on my old 13P.

First full day with this beta 3 and I think the battery life is even worse than the first beta. It worked so well in beta 2, but they've ruined it in this beta 3. Same usage and conditions; I'd end the day with 40 or 50% battery used in beta 2. Today I ended with 68% used—the drain is insane. And I updated using the IPSW file; I hope it improves in the coming days.

What surprises me most is that this beta 3 hasn't fixed any of the visual bugs I had in beta 2. All it's done is add one more jaja

Mine watch was on my wrist and the timer was activated on the phone.

Agreed. Battery life is broken in b3.

I have a 2017 car that does not have Carplay (wish it did, but don't need a new car). I plug my phone into the USB for full-definition audio. The iPod interface (what those cars used before Carplay) was hokey starting in iOS 18, and still hokey in iOS 26, but 26.2b3 has broken it completely. Since b3 (yesterday) when I plug in, it says the iPod interface failed to authenticate.

So it's broken (FB reported), but I'm hopeful. Starting with iOS 18, often when I plug in it starts playing in alphabetical the "All Songs" order of the library (Library -> Songs and Sort by Title and that's what it plays). You can even be listening to something actively and when the car starts, it starts playing that order, interrupting podcasts, Music or anything currently playing. Prior to iOS 18 it worked flawlessly. I'm hopeful that now that it's broken, it means they are addressing the bugs I've been reporting for 2 years. I will not, however hold my breath.

Does this new beta support adding your Passport? I heard that beta 2 didn't support it, even though 26.1 did, so curious if I'd lose that functionality if I updated to the dev beta 3?

Yes! 15PM running 26.2 B3.

Holy peppered steak slices!

B3 is eating my baddery! It dropped to 75% in 12 hours with only 1 hour on screen time on my 16PM. This is the first beta that's done this. Anyone else seeing more than average baddery drop? MY 16 PM is usually excellent with baddery life - no matter what you throw at it!
