It also happens on the control center and lock screen clockYou know what bugs me? The shimmery effects only move on the Home Screen. In anywhere else in the UI the shimmer is static and does not respond to tilting the device.

No.Are talking about the clear space at the very top of the page?
If so, do you have an ad blocker? I do and that clear space is where an ad appears with my ad blocker disabled.
You don't think its a programming error at all?No.
It’s at the bottom, where the nav bar is. A gap opens up between the URI bar and the navigation bar.
It’s only a small gap in 26.2; in 26.1 and 26.0 that nav bar floated half way up the page.
Doesn’t happen for me but I have most of the safari feature flags enabled. Wonder if that site is using functionality which isn’t enabled by default but works when you enable that feature in safari advanced? No.

No, but yes. It happened on multiple sites as soon as I installed 26.0. They were fine before then. I have heard of some web devs being paid $$$ to fix some sites that had this issue. You don't think its a programming error at all?
If you haven’t set any of the settings > apps > safari > advanced > feature flags, scroll to the bottom and tap “reset all to defaults” then clear history and web data for all time (all history) and test your website again. No, but yes. I haven’t run the websites through a validator. I don’t know if a) the code passes validation generally and b) if it fails, if the validation failures are the cause of this display bug. Frankly I have better things to do with my time than try to fix other folks’ websites which I won’t be getting paid to sort.
The way the websites all broke right when 26.0 dropped points at something changing in Safari. I don’t run many extensions but even disabling my ad blockers the issue is still there. Sometimes it vanishes, something to do with loading and reloading, I can’t work it out.
The Safari flags is interesting – I will have to investigate that. Maybe it’s cache related?
Does the beta add 5G standalone for visible?

Nice, finally a clock for the visually impaired
Who said i have issues? The problem is if you dont like it or if it crashes, you have no option but to send your device to apple. Do you know what “if” means? Lol.my beta 3 on my iPhone 13 and watch are flawless. Sorry to hear ya'll have such crazy issues. When ever I upgrade to a new beta say from Sequoia to now 26, I'll update but then do a fresh clean install, format everything and set up as a new machine, then install everything. It's always been a much smoother go.
By no means is the user community here a “sizable majority.” You have a small subset of overall users that read the posts here and a smaller subset that actually POST here. They tend to be techies and people claiming to be developers, (though I suspect most are in the former category), and some latch onto small issues that feel like the end of the world - to them.Absolutely. They really should stop strong arming people onto iOS 26 when for sizeable majority it sounds to be a disaster. Just debating myself whether to install the beta to get iOS 18.7.3.
Is it just that site? That “nav bar” is coded by the web app developer. Looks like they didn’t anchor it properly or set the proportions right.No.

iPad Pro 11 M4
Safari.
Still something wonky. I can opens a site and the tab shows dark like my system settings yet on refresh shows light. I can open the same site on two different tabs and have one dark, one light. Freaking nuts!
