Anyone by any chance have issues with volume going up for your music when an AirPods notification comes in? I’ve had it for months on iOS 26. Wondering if I’m the only one. I’m on 26.2 and using the latest AirPods firmware released last week. I’ve been watching the threads but maybe I just missed people referencing that bug.

I find that iOS 26 certainly is peppered with many, many small UI glitches. The core functionality, for my daily uses, is very solid and stable at least.

The UI Design leadership seems to be changing at Apple though. I foresee things improving in the UI due to this. Might take until iOS 27 until we see appreciable updates and fixes though - it takes a long time to turn a ship as big as Apple, with multiple glitchy UI designs.

I’m happy that there’s light at the end of this, very long, tunnel.
I just wish they'd let us stay on iOS 18 this year. It sounds like there will be no 18.7.3 general release for iPhones that can't run 26, and they're trying to push people to upgrade to 26 for security reasons.

Like, can they acknowledge they made some wrong decisions and just let us stay put until iOS 27? I'm pretty much 100% happy with iOS 18 and 26 doesn't provide any upsides to upgrading, only downsides.

Yea none of my reports have been attended to. All bugs still present👍
Filing Feedback with Apple is sort of like tossing a shiny new quarter into a well and making a wish. You can always hope that your wish will come true, but most likely you just wasted $.25

FWIW, none of my filed reports even mention others are having the issue, yet I've discussed with a few people about multiple reports, gotten their Feedback IDs and added to mine.. I can only assume they just don't even look at whatever I file. And I always make a point to be VERY thorough, not just stuff like "Phone don't work" or something dumb..

It's like a black hole where nothing returns.

Luckily for me I got a couple replies from apple asking if the new build fixed the issue. Last time was with the Now Playing tab item in Music, which would have the wrong text color when minimising

For the iPhone 17 series it rolled back to 1.20.03 from 1.20.06 in the 26.2 release.
In modern software development, individual point releases 26.3 are often branches off a main tree, that will branch off for delevolpment and later merged back to the main repository.

The newer modem software was likely added to the 26.2 branch after 26.3 was split off and will likely be merged in at a later 26.3 beta build.

That’s how we also sometimes see bug reversions in an initial beta.

FWIW, I used CarPlay in my 2018 Ford Escape, stock Sync3, with a wireless adapter, for a 6-hour drive yesterday. No issues on my end. Switching tracks, volume, accepting calls, and ending calls.

On the 26.2 beta, I had deleted the profiles from my phone and cleared out the cars on my cars system, then had recreated a fresh profile. Not sure how much that helped. I know @gank41 has had a TON of issues with CarPlay and I have found this to resolve all of mine to date (minus the phone disconnection issue from back in the iOS18xx in the spring). What I did not try was it wired.

I saw on Reddit that you can fix it by creating a new weather wallpaper screen. This will get the allow location dialog to pop up. Once you approve you can use you old wallpaper and it should work again.

I don’t use this wallpaper, but thought I would share what I saw.

Figured I would find the answer here. Thanks! This fixed the issue.

Thanks, so far the Wireless Adapter I got is working fine. I've tried forgetting my Phone from the Stereo Settings and Forgetting the Car in CarPlay Settings and then waited over 24 hours before trying again. I used a different/new cable. I've tried 4 different model iPhones in 3 different cars (all 7+ years old)..

All I can do at this point is let Apple try and sort it out, but I'm living as though this page isn't accurate. I have a 2018 Chevy Impala, and it says they support Wired CarPlay... :) I'm saying they do not.

I just did a hard-reboot (first reboot of any type since installing this beta) and ...

My Home icons in the control centre (for my Hue lights) still work! I'm happy this bug has been resolved.

the slider toggles in the clock app are the old style and not the glass ones...
Ok, so the buttons are fine. Because that’s how it looked like for me. I never got bothered by the sliders, and usually I get bothered easily by strange design choices. I don’t really see how they could implement LG slider anyway. Where else does a similar slider exist in the system, you know?

You know what bugs me? The shimmery effects only move on the Home Screen. In anywhere else in the UI the shimmer is static and does not respond to tilting the device.
Well, there is the control center, but that’s it.
Not even the lock screen toogles or notifications… it’s sad really

Two bugs I see on my iPad Pro.....

1. When you close the app library without opening an app, it goes to the top corner and bunches up, then disappears.
2. When I rotate the home screen background with a blurred picture, each time I rotate between vertical and horizontal from a physical perspective, the background goes unblurred and then blurs again.
