Anyone has the issue where the phone will not lock after the 30 seconds, or whatever that's on Screen and Brightness, on Auto lock setting? I have screen always on activated!
Very annoying and very battery consuming?

The same for me. Posted earlier. Never had this issue before!!
iPhone 16 Pro Max!
I also have this issue, what fixed it temporarily for me was Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Turn OFF Attention Aware Features (if that doesn't work I also toggled on and off "Require Attention for Face ID" located in the same area). After this, my display would go to sleep.

Before, I was freaking out since when I go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Autolock I would try all the different auto-lock settings and none of them seemed to work for me.

Let me know if that works for you guys!

Would people recommend 26.3 over 26.2? Not really happy with 26.2 on the iPhone 17, I find it buggy with annoying little stutters and inconsistent animations here and there.

It’s not very often, but this is also annoying when it happens.

Search bar on iPad in Safari disappearing. Anynone had the same issue? Always have to restart the app just to be able to see the search bar. It was in previous beta and I hoped they fixed it. Sometimes hou cant se blinking cursor for the entry as well.

CarPlay seems to be working again in my limited testing. I may venture out again today and see it it holds true.
This seems to be the case for me too, so I started searching to see if anyone else experienced it. Two trips around ~30 minutes each so far with no drops since I updated.

It is much better for me too. Too early to call it resolved but this is the first time since I have gotten my iPhone 17 Pro Max where CarPlay hasn't disconnected during my 45 minute commutes. I also noticed that on the main CarPlay page that Maps is much smoother.

Turning OFF Require Attention worked for me - Attention Aware is still on for me and it now goes to sleep like normal. Weird how these betas affect such random things. Hoping the next beta fixes this!

I’m just curious. How on earth are you actually using +1200 apps?
Man, it's redic! Over the years, I've downloaded the app for every product or service I've touched. Some I've never gone back to. I've been starting to delete, but then again, I have a TB of storage, so haven't really cared.

With 62k pics and 5k vids, I still have over a 1/2 gig free.

But yeah, I need to delete the heck out of some apps!

Phone burning since new update it’s been like this since Tuesday It should already passed Indexing 16pM

Honestly can’t believe we haven’t gotten 26.2.1 yet to clean up some of this mess 🙄

26.3 beta 2 introduced more stutters especially when switching between an App & Home Screen via the App Switcher.

I have bug reports for the above case and another stutter both of which are reproducible and each are flagged with “more than ten reports” so hopefully we’ll get a fix for each.

I have no insider information but really seems like there’s little to no focus on what are arguably “cosmetic” issues (dropped frames, stutters, old UI without glass, etc.) almost as if there’s a limited iOS / iPadOS / tvOS / watchOS development team so they have to focus on top priorities which even then, the more critical issues aren’t getting addressed in a timely manner either.

I guess I’ll hold off for a bit longer then lol they really need to sort these things out! 🙈😅

Do you have the attention aware features turned ON by mistake?

Has anyone had a problem with airpods pro (2 in my case) not announcing messages? This is so frustrating.

I tried cycling the phone and announce messages and head gestures off-on. Carplay announce works fine.

Oh, I’m also still on 26.2, I’m hoping someone has the issue on 26.2 and it was fixed on 26.3…

Thoughts?

Hello, based on the comments, iOS 18 will remain on my iPhone and iPad mini. Frankly, I think it's a shame that there are so many problems with every iOS update, especially since Apple is such a big company.
Just a few questions for those who are trying the OTA update or complete reinstallation via PC or Mac: Are the CarPlay issues still present?
Thank you.

Personally, if you ask me, on an iPhone SE 3, iOS 26.2 feels more solid and I would say I’ve encountered less bugs than when I was on 18.7, also on 26.2 the device barely heats up, something that happened more often on 18.7

I guess that your mileage may vary.
