Anyone else seeing this when trying to open some apps like Shortcuts or Sports?
It happens soon after tapping on the icon. Was hoping it’d be fixed by now but still exists on 17P running 26.3.

On my 17 pro this update made me loose my last bit of hope. Are they only vibe coding everything now without proper reviews?
The jitter and stutter while scrolling across all apps and different parts of the system got way worse with 26.3 on my device. The worst is the list of control center elements that can be added. That one I tried on other devices with 26.3 and all have the exact same extreme stutter while scrolling there. So that‘s definitely just ****** software.
I‘m not that positive that they will be able to get their **** together in the future. They completely lost what made them excel, the work philosophy, organizational structures, the talents, the lead on many levels… just another big company with slow and ineffective processes now it seems…
Complex systems will not survive the competency crisis 🙂

15PM & 16P both on iOS 26.3 (23D127) with no problems and decent battery.

Install MobileDeviceOnDemand.pkg & CoreTypes.pkg and reboot
Sat down to run the bash script to install these pkgs and wouldn’t you know it it was recognized without any action today.

Go Timmy - more gold presents.

I see that every now and then. Try deleting and reinstalling.

i disabled SIM PIN. Device PIN is enough for Security. I think SIM PIN was never asked when doing a forced Restart
The purpose of the SIM pin is so ensure that, should someone steal the physical SIM from your phone, then they can’t use it in another phone without knowing the pin. (It protects your mobile phone account from SIM / identity theft. Needless to say, it provides protection that your phone’s device pin alone does not.)

At this point I'm sure I'll keep iOS 18 on my iPhone 13 mini and hope that this new UI look will be fully optional in iOS27. Version 26 clearly is a battery drain.

Been using it on 13, 13 pro, 14 (not pro), 16 and 16 pro and they all run fine. Expect the same old initial battery drain when updating but it will settle for a few days.
i'm impressed that its running so well on the 13 that only has 4gb of RAM.

The 13, 13 pro and 14 I have tested it on are all pretty clean phones, its testdevices that only has a handfull of apps and data installed. Might be a different experience when storage is filled up, on cellular and loads of apps running in the background. Have a mate that updated his 13 to 26.3, fairly heavy user, especially on socmed, and he seem pleased with the update.

What’s it like on an iPhone 14 Pro, I m still on 18.7.2
Two weeks ago i took the plunge and update my 13 pro max from 18.7.3 to 26.2.1 due mainly to lots of security fixes, to my great surprise it's working fine even better than ios 18! Nothing changed with 26.3, no lags, no battery drain (still at 89% battery health). I guess, i'll keep my 13 pro max for the next 5 years!! (btw, it's the 1Tb model)

I just got an annoyance when on 5g and i start typing something in the search tab in safari and hit send, it loads for a sec and then resets like nothing happened
I’m surprised so many people have different glitches, I don’t think I have (most of) these😦

I just discovered a Safari bug and Gemini.

- Open any link with text content
- Open Reader view
- Share -> More -> Gemini (from the list)
- Switch back to Safari from the task switcher
- Safari becomes totally unresponsive.

Happened on both my 13P & 17P and can reproduce across multiple websites

SIM PIN is necessary for security if you have a physical SIM.
Device Passcode is asked first so what has Sim PIN to do with security? nowadays where iphone could reboot unwanted by itself overnight its a real bad idea to have a Sim PIN active.

Someone can remove the SIM from your device and use it in their phone, if it isn’t PIN-protected. Unless you have a carrier-locked device, maybe.

nowadays where iphone could reboot unwanted by itself overnight its a real bad idea to have a Sim PIN active.
Unscheduled reboots should be a rare occurrence, and you’ll notice the locked SIM right away the first time you use your phone afterwards (barring the bug reported in this thread).

Without a SIM PIN, if someone steals your phone, they can put the SIM in another phone and use it, including receiving those idiotic 2FA codes that Apple and others consider to be "improved security".

That’s it, I’m done. Setting up my iPhone as a new device for the first time in 8 years. It’s gonna be a total pain and just thinking about re-adding all my work emails and bank cards is giving me anxiety already… 🥴☹️

On the iPhone SE 3 the modem firmware was updated from 5.20.02 to 5.40.01. Straight away I had issues with mobile data connectivity. Shows signal but intermittently no data, in locations where no issue previously. Cycling 5G/4G sometimes fixes it at the time.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Keep us posted how it goes.

iOS 26 continues to get worse for me, just updated to 26.3 and my home and Lock Screen background colors are now black and I cannot get the set colors I had previously to return.....I am getting VERY exhausted with Apple chasing their tail with bad updates, VERY VERY exhausted!

It’s a known bug. Switch to a different wallpaper and switch back.

Hi, Thanks for replying. Greatly appreciated. I tried that, I even tried the edit option in the top left corner when you hold down on the screen, when I do that it show my previously used screen background colors and when I select it, my previous screen shows up for 1 to 2 seconds then automatically changes to a black background. I want my Motorola Startac back
