For those saying how easy it is, do note that doing a system restore (even if you then restore the backup) means re-authenticating every banking app and related wallet cards. Also make sure any eSIMS aren't trashed in the process.
Restore shouldn't do anything with your eSIMs, as far as I’m aware. It does get annoying having to do the multifactor authentication to log back into everything though

edit: looks like it gives you the option to keep or erase your eSIMs during a reset

Are recovery keys in the Passwords app new? This MacBook is on the 26.3 RC, but there isn’t a recovery key for my iMac on 26.2 public. Guessing it’s just for Macs.

I dunno. Back in the day I could type like a ************ on an iPhone. Now, it’s a constant struggle and it makes me not want to text/type at all lol.
I have to agree. Though I frequently swipe to text, I know I’m hitting the right letter during tap typing yet, 4 times in a row the letter next to it will come up. There’s definitely something… off

There are so many issues with iOS 26 since release and obviously Apple doesn’t care, how many updates have we had now and nothing really changed? They know people will buy these phones regardless of their support. I regret my decision coming back to iOS right now, was happier on my Samsung it was faster and way smoother doing everything my iPhone often feels like a budget android.
Have you used an Android phone recently though? It’s even worse than iOS…Apple is still king, even though their lead is shrinking.

Probably old 26.3 news but this View More button to expand the Share sheet is new to me. The top of the Share sheet redraws unattractively when opening and closing the expanded view.

So far, this hasn’t occurred yet:
This is what the light grey UI glitching in Safari looks like. It’s not constantly-reactive to the webpage content underneath, once it locks in light grey like this you have to switch tabs or apps to revert to normal.

Aside from the obvious visual inconsistency, its reducing the contrast and readability of white text and icons.

The arrow icon in Maps still doesn’t adjust to a contrasting colour:

Slideover on iPad still interferes with dragging a scroll bar in a full screen app like Safari.

And of course this hasn’t been fixed:
Window traffic lights background still pointlessly transitions from light to dark.

I test both weekly and you are so wrong.

OP15, S26P, S26Edge, Honor V5, ZFold7, iPhone Air are the current devices on my test bed.
I can say, from my current experience, the Air has the most OS issues. Great hardware though.

To put your sanity at rest, it's not just you. Something IS different with the keyboard in 26. I struggled with it. Back to 18 and im flying again.

Playing around this morning with a photo and had stuff like that happen a few times. Pita.
Also in Photos, double tap on a pic to zoom in won’t center correctly on the double tap and the tap sometimes closes the pic instead.
Insane that a .3 release has issues like that.

Having a WiFi downloading issue after 26.2:1 and 26.3 not fixed it! Anyone else to have the same problem?

Enabled wikipost so you should be able to edit it

I'm still not seeing an edit button. Strange.

Might be down to the new forum software?

Its working now. Thanks @Banglazed (and others for confirming)

In some countries like Spain the eSIMs get deleted with a restore and you have to go to a physical store to ask for a new one (some at a cost) and wait for 24/48hrs to get the line working again, so yeah, outside the US is very much a possibility to loose it because they don’t transfer or get maintained in device.

Sucks to be in Spain. We don't get this issue in the UK as far as I know.

I was discussing this in previous beta threads, and I was told that eSIMs are no longer deleted if you restore using Apple's new program for Windows. Apple actually states this in a new section of their website about it, and doesn't specify that it works in some countries but not others, so I understand that it should work in Spain.

But yes, the management of eSIMs in Spain is counterproductive and undermines all the good aspects of this technology. And it's all due to the excessive greed of Spanish operators, who are never satisfied and need to squeeze even more money out of Spanish users. Being charged more for a duplicate eSIM than for a physical SIM is a clear symptom of this.

There *should* be an option to keep eSIMs when doing any kind of restore, as they're stored within the secure enclave (or whatever it's called) and are designed to survive any kind of restore/reset.

It's only when transferring to a new phone that some mobile providers don't allow the simple transfer from one phone to another.
