Apple may have decided to delay and insanely stretch out and promote "innovative" features across iOS26 to iOS27 and on to iOS28 due to an ever growing exodus of the software team to Meta. Siri meanwhile has been left to rot and should have been switched off, terminated and cremated a long time ago but it still resides in iOS like some malignant tumor spreading and attaching its carcinogens.

A fresh new direction from the top maybe not far away and finally we can remove the tumors bloating iOS.

“If you have credit card information stored in Apple's Passwords app”

Is this even possible on iOS? I thought CC details are kept in settings app?

Why doesn’t HomePod have AudioMix? It’s supposed to be the premium speaker but doesn’t have auto mix??? It might if I stream from my phone, but not native on it. Is it not capable or just an oversight. Either way wtf

They should take that liquid glass, freeze it, and then smash it with a hammer. Please, no more gimmicks. Focus on improved functionality. Work on reviving Siri, she's been braindead for a number of years. Lower the threshold for tolerating bugs. Fix the broken auto correct functionality. The list goes on.

If Apple had any sense, they would retire the Siri name altogether. 👵🏼
Sometimes, a brand is so damaged that nothing is gained by retaining it. That is definitely the case with Siri. It is, and has been, known as the worst assistant for many years. They aren't turning that brand around.

I’m not sure why so many comments are negative on this. Apple isn’t promising, but it’s rumored that Apple Intelligence will finally be linked to Siri in 26.4. That’s very good news if it turns out to be true.

I agree, but the damage is limited to MacRumors posters. I use Siri for this and that and I would like more capability out of it, I’m not worried about my privacy.
