When swiping back in Messages from a conversation to the conversation list there’s a weird fading animation around the search bar at the bottom. Doesn’t happen in other apps using the bottom search bar.

This has been around since 26.0 beta 1. I doubt it’ll be fixed any time soon.

App Store Updates - I love the new update around App Store app updates (it was precisely what I requested). Based on folks' frustration with the extra step (pull down) to refresh updates once in that section, I sent a Feedback suggestion
Privacy > Location settings - for me, sometimes, the list 'crashes' or 'springs' as I scroll down. After two or three swipes to scroll the list to change some settings, it just springs back to the top. Feedback bug submitted, even tho this is not always a consistent behavior - today I could not reproduce

decided to take the fun-route and update again from 26.3 (showing about 30GB system data) to 26.4. but this time not OTA, instead using the ispw. Update went pretty fast with no temperature increase.
Currently showing 24.94 GB system data (fluctuating down to 22.7 GB) and 21.9 GB iOS (Siri already updated). Luke warm after 30min.
Let's keep the fingers crossed. The next 6h will be critical - last updates showed already at this time much bigger system data and device got pretty hot.
I've had no problems downloading the new models and I have Siri with the new animation and as silly as ever.

My device struggled mor than 18h to get it loaded. Maybe It didn’t want to have the Apple-Non-Intelligence

iPad pro 11 3rd gen, this screen would go to 'sleep' on me by saying 'loading' and it will right itself after power cycle (vol button up and down and power until apple logo appears). My iPhones are all ok, just the iPad.
Update. Google DNS was bad today, changed to ISP DNS, all is ok again

A more general question: if I restore an iCloud backup from yesterday, are the completed rings and awards lost, or are they synced separately?

You just need to open the music app on your iPhone and dismiss the splash screen. It’s not specific to 3rd party head units.

Yeah I had this. There was a “What’s new in Music” screen I had to acknowledge but nothing about privacy.

Yea Apple has other priorities, like not fixing all the other bugs
Fresh install straight from the apple developer site, installed from recovery. Battery is pretty miserable. Worse than any 26.0 beta last summer.
