Wanted to compare build numbers before installation but the build number location has moved (no longer by tapping the iOS version)?? Sorry if this has been answered before and slightly off topic

Wow. So far this feels really good on my 17 pro. As a longtime reduce motion user I’m very appreciative of them reducing the Liquid Glass motion more across the os. Phone feels faster and somehow the scrolling in safari now feels like a perfect 120hz with zero stutters so far when the scrolling slows to a stop. Nice work!

Absolutely incredible that they released this with the icon redraw again, like in the first versions of 26. Really awful. Where is the QC Apple?
That will not be resolved until some time in ios 27 if ever. I think they just accepted that this is one of side effects of Liquid Glass or some other feature. I’m doubting we’ll see this change for a long time, at least until they revamp the whole system.

That icon redrawn bug seems quite interesting, I got it very seldom on my device, last time after installing 26.4 RC but before that I can’t recall.

normal or bug? stolen device protection ist still deactivated after update to iOS 26.4. i thought this will be automatically enabled with iOS 26.4

Btw, does anyone else check this site posts about updates? They’re quite deep into the system and mention a huge change on the media analysis daemon that could mean better efficiency and less crashes:
But if your Photos library stopped recognizing faces, or if indexing stalled in the background, this is likely the fix.
