26.5.2 is terrible, I have little hope for 27.
Care to elaborate a bit what you mean by "terrible"?

I see that you do use an iPhone 17pro from your profile, assuming its this device that you have updated.
It's interesting to see that many reports about bad experience (mainly battery issues) are from iPhone 17 pro users.
Some models seem point towards improvement (17 air) and some, like for me on a number of devices (non are 17 tho) don't have any issues, its pretty much the same performance as before the update (from 26.5).

Haven't seen any reports on people with the regular 17.
There are obvious differences between all 3 models but also many similarities, especially with the 17 and 17pro.

Will be interesting to see if 26.6 solves it.

Yes a 17 Pro Max, my issues are the constant stuttering across the Home Screen and in apps, terrible ram management and general ios 26 quirks. Battery has always been phenomenal, I don’t care about that aspect regardless.

Are you by chance running your phone in low power mode?

Thanks for explaining, was just assuming it was battery issues since many has reported that.
Strange that you still have stuttering on your screen, I have the 16Pro and for me the stuttering was solved around 26.2 or so. There's still some GUI bugs that I find every so often, some seem to be related to that I use zoomed mode tho.

Are you using AI on your device? And how much free memory do you have (storage). I remember that a few years ago jam packed storage could affect performance a good bit.

No never, as I said I don’t care about battery this thing lasts forever I charge overnight and never let it go below 50% if I can help it, 156 cycles still 100% health.

AI is enabled yes, don’t really ever use it as it’s useless currently. Storage is fine I have 144GB free out of 256GB.

Longshot but try and disable AI to see if it helps with the memory management. Not sure how the iOS 26 AI is on the memory but if you experience lots of lag and crappy memory management it might be worth trying to disable potential memory hogs.

Since a few months I constantly get this message every day. I mean it is something useful and good, but why does it really appear every day? iPhone 16 Pro Max with %66 battery health.

My iPhone 14 Pro (new battery installed a year ago from Apple) is useless after the update. When I went to bed it was at around 60%, after I woke up at 6%.

I updated my phone Monday evening and since then the battery usage is through the roof. Thanks Apple.

It's strange that we all get so mixed results. Mine has been the same with 26.5.2
But in some situations I experience it being better and sometimes worse. Hard to tell if its new user patterns that cause it or if its related to the update. Its not a major difference, but I do feel that cellular only seem to drain a bit more. But again, it might be that I have been spending time without Wifi and been using the phone more, also the cell coverage isn't as good where I have been.

Sometimes i wonder if it's done to specific settings and bugs related to that. Have been using the same settings and turned many things off throughout the years to save battery. All from location settings, background tasks etc.

I did notice a bit more battery drain when I was hooked up to a specific router, but again its to little to tell of it was me using the phone more or if it could be related to the network. This particular place have loads of Apple gadgets such as homepods, Apple TV etc that all communicate.

Will be interesting to see if 26.6 solves the issues some of you other report.

I updated to iOS 27 public beta to see if this makes a difference. I will report tomorrow.
Could it be related to the Garmin device? I saw it on the top of your list. Or have you just been using it more lately?
Has the garmin device been using more battery lately?

With the install of 27.0 Public Beta battery usage over night is much better!

Hmmm, if course it could be but the Garmin app wasn’t updated since the last iOS update but I will keep an eye on it today. 27.0 (Public Beta) so far much better though.

Much better with the update installed. I’m now , almost 12 hours later, at 30%. Even with Garmin in the background.

So 26.5.2 was the problem here.
