Hi. I have an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 26.5, which has been very stable. It doesn’t overheat or have any issues. If I update to iOS 26.6, is it just as stable?
Thank you!
Thank you!

I'd leave it.Hi. I have an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 26.5, which has been very stable. It doesn’t overheat or have any issues. If I update to iOS 26.6, is it just as stable?

Let's be real; iOS 26.0 was not even alpha software. It should never have been publicly released, let alone as so-called "production" software."Performance and battery improvements " has to be a typo.
Aprox 10 days in ( installed RC ) and my phone is running like poop.
Stutters , glitches , battery life sucks
Same.I, despite being eager to jump to iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, I’ll wait until the 27.2 or 27.3 version…
I’ll perform clean installs of iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, and macOS 26.6, and stay there until holidays, when I’ll jump directly to the 27.2 or 27.3 version.
Although, if the reports of the early versions are good, maybe I’ll do the upgrade with 27.1 instead. I still don’t know.

Yeah, most testers note that unusual stability in the betasI might jump onto iOS 27 at the end of August. It does seem it’s going be a mainly stability improving release and not many new features, I’m ok with that after the car crash that has been iOS 26.
This is very good news for well over a month until the public release! Hope it continuesYeah, most testers note that unusual stability in the betas
I'm guessing its an index that will be used with or without AI and that it replaces the old one. Would be strange to have two different types. But I have no idea tbh. Haven't seen any notifications of a reindex task going on.I’m really intrigued by this… my awesome iPhone SE 3 doesn’t support Apple Intelligence, so I guess there’s no need for it to perform this reindexing, right?
Actually I updated my test iPhone SE 3 to 26.6 and I haven’t seen any text in settings regarding this re-indexing…
Haven't noticed, but I did notice that it feels a tad bit slower when clicking the camera button to start. The camera app has lags and freezes after installing the latest update last week. Anyone else?
no such problem here (15 Pro)The camera app has lags and freezes after installing the latest update last week. Anyone else?
You mean spotlight?iPhone “search” now showing “links” (aka advertisements).
How to stop this annoying and unwanted use of my bandwidth including messing up the user interface with pictures and other irrelevant nonsense?
Apple used to be so clean, now it’s as dirty as Google.
Never mind. I figured it out. What happened to ChatGPT? It can’t be used any longer after the update and is greyed out. I read somewhere else where it can be activated by telling Siri to “Enable ChatGPT” but this doesn’t work for me. Someone else said they had to type to Siri to get it to work. But type to Siri is gone too.
Yes; for example SMS message search comes back with a minging set of pictures that have nothing to do with the search, they seem to be advertisements. You mean spotlight?
Wow! Faecesbook! I like that new name!Yes; for example SMS message search comes back with a minging set of pictures that have nothing to do with the search, they seem to be advertisements.
This is hateful. As soon as you click on the search input field, those hideous adverts appear and there's no way that I can see of stopping them. There's even the hideous faecesbook and other cack which I've never used nor never will use.
