Has anyone had CarPlay connection issues with Honda’s? My 17 Pro hardly connects. I do IPSW updates, hard restart, reboot the headunit, factory reset the headunit, changed cables..

Another phone, 15 Pro connects just fine.

Could my USB-C port be damaged?
Is the 15 Pro on the same iOS version? And when you say hardly connects, does it connect sometimes or has never connected since the update?

15 Pro is always on the same iOS version. This has been occurring with many iOS 26 versions. It connects sometimes with iOS 26.6. Seems to be after a restart and then randomly decides to after that.

I also notice the audio is crackly at times.

Ok, then its not the case that 26.6 caused it and that a setting has changed since it works sometimes.
Do you know if there are any software updates to the infotainment system in your Honda? You active on any Honda forums to see if others with similar systems has the same issue?
Use your other iphones light and magnifying feature and check the USB-C port on your iPhone 17, use a wodden or plastc toothpic and carefully clean if it needed. You can use Isopropyl and cottonbuds as well.

Are you using a case? Sometimes cases makes the USB-C cable not fit properly, but its generally quite obvious when it doesn't fit.

But as you mentioned, maybe the USB-C port has been damaged.

Updated and now I cannot get a cell signal. It's stuck on SOS 🙄

Restarted. Nothing.
Force restart. Nothing
Turn Airplane Mode on then off. Nothing.
