Definitely an improvement in battery life with 26.2 on my 17 Pro.

Nice 👍 that looks great with 7hr SOT.
Yes I was very happy with that!

The first days after installation were difficult, but now it seems the battery has stabilized. I see everything is running smoothly for you 😅👍

Yes indeed, everything settled down nicely. Also since disabling adaptive power mode it feels smoother with no “performance adjustments “ happening anymore

It’s definitely a great build! I didn’t notice any lag in the refresh rate, which I thought was a nice touch. Do you think adaptive power is just a gimmick, or is it actually a good thing?

Well, I didn’t see any difference to battery consumption when I got a message about adaptive power mode being active. I did notice things weren’t quite as smooth and fast, much better with it disabled IMO and battery life is great on this software version.

So, for a new consumer that is new to iOS and isn’t too tech-savvy, you recommend just turning the adaptive power feature off, and leave it off, right? Then use the power saving mode when it gets prompted at 20% of battery…

Maybe new & long standing iOS users should try it and see what they think? I just didn’t see any benefit to battery life when iOS activated the feature.

If I want reduced performance to conserve battery life, then I’ll activate low power mode myself.

Same result.

Without adaptive the promotion display feels real again

I think they are still building it out. It'll probaly work better in the futuree and with newer phones but for me, i saw no benefit.

I'm getting great battery life on 26.2 on my 15PM (85% battery health) without AP on. Normal weekday daily use is ~20-22 hours.

I’m getting great battery life on 26.3 beta 1. I see no need for my phone to throttle itself. If I want it to happen, I’ll activate it myself. I also think the adaptive power AI, monitoring usage, was continuously running in the background draining battery.

What iOS were you on previously? And what device are you using?

Has anyone else had charging issues with the iPhone 17 Pro Max?

After updating to iOS 26.2, I get a “liquid detected in charging port” notification every morning.
First, I ran a remote diagnostic with Apple Support. They said the device is fine, but they did notice incorrect charging logs. They then advised me to gently clean the charging port using a small piece of cloth and a pin.

After that, I took the phone to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. They opened the device and confirmed there was no liquid inside.

However, after another night in Sleep mode, I woke up to the same liquid detection notification again.

Apple Support’s next step was to reset all settings. I’ve just done that and I’m going to sleep now, curious to see what the phone shows in the morning.

Did you do recovery mode on your iPhone ? And did you override it and it still had the issue?

How frequent was it popping up ?

It’s every morning. Service guy made a restore. I recover all system settings and still pops up. If it’ll be there in the morning they’ll transfer that to the grounds of Apple.

And for the repair- what AASP was it? Or did you go to the Apple Store to get your iPhone checked out?

Did you checked the usb c port for any corroded parts or broken parts?

We don’t have any official Apple stores in my country 😳 it’s ITS, official Apple Certified Service. They opened the phone and said it’s totally fine and unbroken. So I’m calling Apple Support in a few hours…

Weird. Running any betas on the iPhone ?

Let me know when AppleCare follows up with you. Ask for a senior advisor.

Try a different cable, my partners S23 had the same issue and it ended up being a faulty cable despite looking perfectly fine.

Exactly. @PDXDP dude are you using the included Apple cable or a third party usb c cable?
For the record, a good troubleshooting attempt for those weird issues is to just try a new cable.

I have an Apple-original cable that gives me the “this accessory is not supported” alert and stops charging. I have no idea why that happens, but I just grab another cable and it works.

I might give it a few more days but I’m back to 7 hours again on my 13 Pro Max. I am at 87% (90% per coconut battery) not great…I mean I suppose as long as it lasts me the “day” it’s okay but huge difference compared to iOS 18…maybe I’ll give it a few more days.
