Two things I’ve noticed:

1. In iOS 18, if I got an email, went into the Mail app (Apple’s pre-installed mail app) and swiped to delete it from the inbox without reading it, I’d then immediately get a notification come through of that email. Deleting an unread email by swiping it deleted from the inbox in the mail app no longer gives this erroneous notification in iOS 26. So one bug fixed ✅

2. Since iOS 18.4, played podcasts haven’t been deleting. I finished listening to a podcast on iOS 26 yesterday, and today I’m pleased to see that it’s now been automatically deleted. So a second bug fixed ✅✅

Another to add. Since 18.4, Mail notifications have sometimes just been going straight to Notification Centre, without lighting up the Lock Screen, etc. That’s not occurred once on iOS 26, so I’m marking that as fixed too!

Just noticed this added HDR Boost for the hilighter in Markup

My 16PM was running extremely hot, jittery, and I was having to charge 2x a day. New seed is running substantially cooler and smoother. Helps explain the differences in anecdotes I was reading around this build running smoothly on some devices.

How did you guys get the revised beta? I’m refreshing and nothing. Still on version 23A5260n 14pro max

I installed the original beta last night on my iPhone 16 Pro (using IPSW) and today it’s been running fine. Not getting any overheating and battery life seems to be the same as iOS 18.5. It’s still very smooth using apps. There are sometimes frames dropping when on the home screen, notification center, or wherever liquid glass shows up, but overall it’s not as terrible as some of the posts here have convinced me to believe.

From N to U… 😬

Installed and seeing a bit of heat but not as much stutter. Curious if IPSW is coming or they’ll just wait for beta 2 in another 1-2 weeks.

I’m sure there was a more substantial reason for releasing this update so soon; I’m really hoping, though, that this addresses one particular bug that annoys me (not a showstopper): the clock freezing while the phone is in Standby mode. Those brief AM-heart attacks weren’t fun 😂

Apple’s crack marketing team realizing the sentiment around iOS 26 is bad so they release an arbitrary “update” and now everyone’s gaslit themselves on Twitter into thinking the “glass effect has been fixed”.

Anyone figure out how to print an email from Mail on iOS & iPadOS 26?
Never mind… didn’t know about the new “Menu Bar”… While in an app, swipe down from the top to expose the menu bar which has options…

This works for iPadOS but in iOS you have to hit the REPLY button at the bottom of the screen to expose them menus that includes the print option.. (personally I think that is a dumb place for it since there is room for the “3 dots” icon down there to expose a menu…
