Yeah, I think their biggest fail here is that it isn’t a well thought-out redesign, given the inconsistencies we are seeing, the extent to which they are now changing things around, and the legibility/contrast issues. Not to mention that it is largely just a different skin/theme, not a fresh conceptualization of how the UI should work, like making things more intuitive and consistent again.

Some contacts when opening details CRASH!!!!

Home icons in folders seem to reload everytime you open that page.

Keyboard still click N or B instead of spacebar. Can’t they use freaking AI to figure out that am not clicking N or B. They stick AI everywhere they can but not where it’s actually may be helpful.

Phone feels super hot. I know I should give it a day. I will.

Still clunky and thebFROST (you see that B that got inserted) bring Liquid back.

This is terrible for beta 3.
Glad to hear I'm not the only person having the N/B issue. I type the word "man + space" and it actually neglects to accept the "n" altogether, as in the middle of the click it flips it to "Ma". So f'n irritating. I'm hitting the "n" perfectly, but because of the lag it creates, it stops accepting the key.

I think so. It must have looked spectacular in their renders, but they must be having a hard time translating it to reality. And I still don't understand the new clock and camera icons; they don't match the rest at all.

Is anyone else annoyed that dark mode app icons aren’t really dark? It’s like a dark grey instead of pure black.

Well, one of my friends installed this beta and I'm seeing it for the first time in person and I gotta say... this looks terrible.

I wonder if there's chaos internally at apple from such bad feedback on the iOS 26 design.
I wouldn’t call it chaos but more bad Judgement from apple.
This liquid glass design was originally intended for iOS 18 but got delayed a year because apple intelligence and AI was seen as a higher priority, theoretically they have had this design in some capacity a full year before it was shown off at WWDC 25 but the problem is that apple is very secretive and has different design elements segregated into different teams so it’s hard to see what the full picture is , what I am trying to say is that in the walled garden of Apple Park this design was the future but once it was public it was obviously not the right move to go full glass and transparency.
What’s the solution? Well I am not sure but it seems to me apple have decided to do a almost full u turn on the original design and go for a more frosted glass look for better readability , while this is frustrating to the small majority who liked the full glass look I think apple knew if they released that to the public in September they would of have a lot more backlash .
To conclude I do think there could be some sort final iOS 26 build with transparency and liquid glass but what we saw in WWDC was nothing more then a slideshow and fancy concept art and like the year before with apple intelligence what we were showed isn’t what we are going to get and that’s the problem for apple and it’s going to keep happening year after year until we as the consumers vote with our wallets.

When I heard months ago that iOS 19 would be a major revamp of iOS I was super excited, as iOS is super stale, outdated and just not good compared to a Pixel UI or vanilla Android IMO.

But then it changed from iOS 19 to iOS 26 ok, but what they revealed was nothing at all I was expecting. This 'Liquid Glass' is just a skin, or a theme. It's not a major OS overhaul whatsoever, it looks like a cheap jailbreak theme.

I'm really shocked that Apple did this. They had years to work on a big revision to iOS and new design, and after all that time, this is what they give us?

Just had this happen with the tab bar in Games. If I wanted to jump to conclusions as much as everyone else scrutinizing an (obviously glitchy) DB3, I would say that Apple has clearly given up on glass altogether and is just making everything fully transparent now!

When using the Smart Display Zoom feature in my car, the text in the Now Playing section is now higher than in Beta 2 so there’s a big gap between the text and the playback buttons. It used to be lower, like centered in the gap between the playback buttons and the Back arrow on top.

this is the biggest clue that Liquid Glass is clearly just still being worked on lmao, everyone here is complaining for nothing

SirusXM and hardwire plugged-in charging (16PM) breaks auto-lock still. SiriusXM app setting even set to not keep screen active. Unplugged, it auto-locks. Think it’s Sirusxm app bug. Doesn’t do it when streaming with Apple Music app while plugged in.

Wondering how many have seen this developer video. Clearly Apple has(and probably) will continue to tweak as they get feedback from developers.

Generally speaking though, I’m seeing pretty much the same interactions as demoed in the video. Saying LG is mostly removed is just hyperbole.
