Feature freeze.Seems that liquid glass is becoming frosted glass
Good to know. After using DB3 for about 30 minutes on iPhone 11, doing all the usual things I would usually do (like browsing in Safari with background music playing on Apple Music), I quite like it. My old iPhone 11 heats much less than on DB1-2 and the Liquid Glass elements are much more visible/legible now. 👌
I hope they’ll add a Reduce Transparency In Motion setting.as soon as you scroll, the glass effect kicks in
NopeNo AppleTV updates yet?
Good to know.
I'm going to risk it. Well, with iCloud and archived local backup just in case I change my mind.
9.69GB, iPhone 11 coming from 18.5.

What do you mean, selling point? You get the OS update for free.Yeah even the iOS 26 Apple preview site still shows it looking like beta 1 with liquid glass so if they don’t ship that, then that’s another promise not given. The main selling point was liquid glass so if we don’t get that then it’s another mid step with Apple
its a thing you say, slogan, I know its for free, im selling the selling point as in making people want to upgrade. what is the point of iOS 26 when they acted like its the biggest change in a decade, its not even 18.7 for me, no new features, just slight design change more like a skin or theme pack and iMessage backgroundsWhat do you mean, selling point? While I don’t like Liquid Glass as a UI concept, I do agree. But it has been that way for a long time in terms of acting like things are the biggest innovation ever, while not really changing that much in actuality. It’s their marketing hustle.what is the point of iOS 26 when they acted like its the biggest change in a decade, its not even 18.7 for me, no new features, just slight design change more like a skin or theme pack and iMessage backgrounds
the thing is the iOS 26 preview page still shows liquid glass like beta 1 so if they remove it thats another fail with something they cant deliver at launchWhile I don’t like Liquid Glass as a UI concept, I do agree. I usually install the first dev beta. This is the first time in years that I didn't.You don’t feel like waiting for the public beta, as they might give us a fresher build?
Yeah, I think their biggest fail here is that it isn’t a well thought-out redesign, given the inconsistencies we are seeing, the extent to which they are now changing things around, and the legibility/contrast issues. Not to mention that it is largely just a different skin/theme, not a fresh conceptualization of how the UI should work, like making things more intuitive and consistent again.the thing is the iOS 26 preview page still shows liquid glass like beta 1 so if they remove it thats another fail with something they cant deliver at launch
exactly, they couldnt do AI and the new Siri and now they cant do the design change, its really hard being an apple fan now daysYeah, I think their biggest fail here is that it isn’t a well thought-out redesign, given the inconsistencies we are seeing, the extent to which they are now changing things around, and the legibility/contrast issues.
