Still has the crappy frost effect on Messages and Safari, although it's worse on Messages.

What's worse, is for a split second when you open a message thread, the frost isn't there then it gets applied..
Same for Music. I think the Home tab still has the old look and then if you tap over to one of the other tabs, you see the frosting applied. They probably did what they could over the last couple of weeks, and we'll see the rest of the frosting in future builds.

Was wondering how many others might be having sound issues with notifications. I had heard someone on the last beta say their phone wasn’t ringing on an incoming call. My alarm and timer sound correctly but emails don’t and keyboard sounds and haptics are affected and I’m afraid other stuff is muted as well. Checked all settings and hard reset also. This started on the beta 2 and was hoping it would be fixed with this one. Not seeing anyone yet complaining about it. I’m using another device so I don’t miss calls or messages. (Iphone13) possibly one of those bugs that affects only a very few. Will report but Just wanted to see if any others.

Edit: wow silly me, you’ll never guess what fixed it. Toggled the mute switch. That’s a new one on me.

Still can't change the home screen wallpaper on the lock screen. Have to go to settings>Wallpaper.
Just discovered can change the home screen wallpaper on the top left option panel, with the "add widget" and "customize". That was probably there in the last build, and I missed it.

Works fine so far. Happy that the assistive touch screenshot is working again. Using this a lot.
Not quite sure about the Liquid Glass changes. It’s clear that a more frosty design is better for readability but I was hoping that they are able to find a better solution as a more or less complete rollback to the standard frosted look. Some of the glass designs were pretty cool in the previous betas.
We‘ll see how this turns out in the end but in its current state it’s not really a re-design. It wasn’t this huge design also in the previous betas but in B3 it’s not more than a couple of new icons.

it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that Apple toned down the liquid glass as a quick temporary fix, and plan to revert back to a more glassy effect once they refine it further. There are a few reasons they would do this. From a testing standpoint, I feel like they have received a metric ton of feedback about the contrast issues, and may be doing this frosted effect so we can move past it for now. Pure conjecture on my part, but I really hope the frosted effect is temporary. I actually like quite a bit of the glass design and hope to get some of it back.

It’s almost like they forced on reduce transparency.

I hope the same, but it’s something visual so I don’t know how can they refine it in any other way than the one they’re actually doing (toning it down). It’s not like a performance issue that can be fixed without visual changes.

Some contacts when opening details CRASH!!!!

Home icons in folders seem to reload everytime you open that page.

Keyboard still click N or B instead of spacebar. Can’t they use freaking AI to figure out that am not clicking N or B. They stick AI everywhere they can but not where it’s actually may be helpful.

Phone feels super hot. I know I should give it a day. I will.

Still clunky and thebFROST (you see that B that got inserted) bring Liquid back.

This is terrible for beta 3.

If you set the safari UI to the old one with the address bar on top, it removes the blur and gradient from the bottom. Still looks dumb though.

Edit: I stand corrected. This is embarrassing, Apple. You really don't want us using that top 3/4" do you?

wait.. so the big "innovation" was Liquid Glass and now they are toning it down because readability? lol, Apple is a joke now...

The "big innovation" is the new UI paradigm. You know, the big goofy buttons, the pointless padding around everything, drop shadows. Liquid Glass is just a fancy highlight for navigation buttons within an interface.

Also this thing with contact posters not being able to load an asset. Give me a break. How can you not solve this issue?

yep, glad im not the only one with this issue. I look away from my Lock Screen and then tap and hold the screen until it asks for my passcode. that's been my workaround. super annoying though.
