Exactly… complaining just because something is different - there’s NO WAY this can be considered better or ‘usable’. It’s even worse on the iPad when you have tabs, tab groups, etc. all in the same area fighting for space and legibility. They should probably bring it back.View attachment 2530871
I do have two 16 Pros honestly feels choppy not smooth at allWhen I disable ProMotion, it is much worse on the Pro series. So it should be something between.
Did the restore work for you? I select the IPSW and nothing happens.
"Good enough" is subjective. I've been running beta releases on my daily driver for years. Typically, I jump on around DP3 or 4. I am aware that there a tons of reasons why the DPs should not be installed on your main/only phone. I am also fully capable and comfortable rolling back, if it's warranted.Define good enough. For Apple it's good enough when your device doesn't get bricked or end up in a bootloop. DB4 being PB1 wont magically make it any less of a crappy release, if DB4 is one. Being released as a PB is not a quality seal nor is it a good indicator of the build being of high quality.
They released first PBs with cellular data issues in the past (e.g. modem restarting or calls dropping), cause they deemed it to be not a high priority bug that needs hotfixes.
You're correct. It's very odd.I’m sure it’s maybe just muscle memory, but are the controls in the camera app (toggling between modes at the bottom, e.g. Video to Photo to Pano) inverted swipes now? Is it just me? I’m on a lot of meds now (surgery), but I swear I’m having to swipe in the opposite direction. Not a biggie either way, just was curious.
No, they switched the places of the shutter and the mode switcher last beta, and now you have to touch and grab that bubble and drag it to the mode you want. It’s all counterintuitive to what we’ve been doing for like 20 years.I’m sure it’s maybe just muscle memory, but are the controls in the camera app (toggling between modes at the bottom, e.g. Video to Photo to Pano) inverted swipes now? Whether you’re right or wrong doesn’t matter. I have too read that article. That might also be the problem why Apple phones don’t feel as smooth as some of the top tier Androids. The Hz is variable. At peak it's 120, but it is often 60. I have seen videos showing how really fast actions are only like 80-90 Hz. I could be wrong, but I do not believe iPhones will render more frames than they can display, so your FPS should be same as your Hz.
Yep, that tripped me up too. You're correct. It's very odd.
Same, but had to update Xcode first. Wouldn't do anything until that point. Went ahead and updated to B4 during restore. Figured, WTH.Had to DFU restore, recovery mode gave me errors on my Mac.
Pretty sure you will think different after the phone had settled down. This beta doesn’t feel as smooth as beta 3… 15PM. I know it’s “indexing”.. but beta 1 and 2 both felt smoother. Immediately after installing/booting up.
Would bet a lot of money that this will be further refined and we see something in between DB3 and DB4.Anyone else think the status bar color switching when scrolling in safari is super distracting?

Also, not sure why my screen recording turned dark when I cropped it. Weird.
liquid glass is nothing, it is just a distractor from the fact apple is YEARS behind Microsoft and Open AIThis is actually VERY disappointing
