Still doing the disconnect/reconnect thing at 80% when connected to Qi2 (and presumably MagSafe2 then).

Same here. Was hoping they had fixed this by now. Oh well, beta life…🤪
BTW, I sent feedback, but about Qi2 connecting and disconnecting continuously, but it still shows no other reports / Open. Hmm…

Can you explain this bug? Are you saying that your phone won't charge above 80% when using MagSafe/Qi charging? If so, that's enough to make me downgrade back to iOS 18.5.

Interesting…I’ve seen the whole “disconnect/reconnect once battery hits 100%” thing on WatchOS while using a 3rd party charger for a few years/versions now. If I remember correctly, it started with WatchOS 8, was briefly resolved, then reintroduced with watchOS 9 and has remained that way.

Back when I actually wore my watch (I’ve since stopped), it was constantly waking me up in the middle of the night, lighting up the room and if I forgot to silence it before bed, dinging each time it reconnected.

I don’t have a MagSafe or Qi2 charger to test for you, but I understand your (likely) frustration…
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, frustrating but I know I am in beta world, so not complaining. Simply seeing if others are experiencing likewise.

It seems to be an issue with Qi2 chargers AND MagSafe2 chargers.
Personally I experience the issue with my iP14PM and Qi2 chargers. Firstly, when you place the phone on the charger it takes 6 to 8 seconds for charging to start. Then, when charging level reaches at least 80% then charging will disconnect and then reconnect continuously - along with the associated sounds. Last night it made it to 100% and then started the disconnect and reconnect cycle.
It seems it is important to distinguish between original Qi and MagSafe charging, and Qi2 and MagSafe2 charging. Phone charges fine with an original MagSafe charging puck.
I sent feedback, specifically for Qi2 charging, but the feedback report still shows “Open” and “Recent Similar Reports” as “None”.

Please report to Apple if you are experiencing this issue.

It seems they’ve honed in on the final version of the music widget in Split View on CarPlay. Beta 3 vs Beta 4:

The weird spacing has been fixed. Still prefer the center aligned version from Betas 1 and 2 though!

Also - Live Activities are still not appearing on the CarPlay Split View from any app. Not Sports, ESPN, Chick Fil A… none. Has been broken for me since Beta 2.

Anyone else?

Disabling the new phone app to classic fixed it.
Did you have to leave it off, or did you turn it off and then back on again? I would like to continue to use the call screening functions, but not at the expense of missing regular/expected calls. I’ve been having issues with calls/texts not ringing/notifying since B2. I’ve reported the issues to Apple, and if hoping they’d be fixed here in B4. But maybe not?

Damn it’s beta 4 already and it’s still sluggish. I don’t remember the last time beta versions were this bad. For the past 5 years I’ve been using dev releases since day 1 and they’ve been mostly fine.
Surely it’s not me getting old and becoming extremely nit picky?
It has been this way for years. Beta 4/5 seem to go backwards than 6-8 are usually much better. There is still at least another 4 betas before final launch.

I haven't tried changing it back.. I missed so many calls today lol..

New iPad os feature I just noticed.. not sure if this is new or not. Clock changes on lock screen based on orientation. When you customize the clock in portrait, it doesn’t change in landscape, and vice versa. So basically, you can have the length of clock set different based on orientation, and edits to it don’t affect switching orientation. Kinda neat.

Other than graphical glitches and lag, the main issue I have is photos app crashes within a few seconds of opening it.Did it on beta 3, and now still on beta 4. I’m working away and have a daily download limit so cannot uninstall the app and re-download my photos/videos to see if that sorts it.

Thanks…..I can't confirm that for me (iOS and iPadOS 26/4)! Not even under 26/3...

"Good enough" is subjective. I've been running beta releases on my daily driver for years. Typically, I jump on around DP3 or 4. I am aware that there a tons of reasons why the DPs should not be installed on your main/only phone. I am also fully capable and comfortable rolling back, if it's warranted.

Waiting for the PB1 release is just another level of confirmation that it won't brick my phone. I know stuff won't work perfectly, and some things may not work at all. iOS 26 is a huge change, at least visually, and maybe that's part of my hesitation. I also have a 3-week vacation trip coming up at the end of the month, which also gives me pause. I know that I can recover from a bad situation, but do I want to have to be doing that while we're away and I'm trying to relax.

With all of that said, I have the current dev preview on an older iPhone and on my daily driver iPad mini - and have from DP1.
I would never install a beta before a vacation. If it‘s a summer / beach / it‘ll be hot vacation, you effectively fry your battery health due to betas having heaty side effects + your hot environment.

Wait until you return, regardless of PB1 releasing. Your battery health will thank you later.
