Are you talking about the text at the top of the screen? I think the readability of the content layer at the very top margin, beneath where the status bar has existed for forever is a non-issue. Why would you scroll something you are reading there in the first place?Exactly… complaining just because something is different - there’s NO WAY this can be considered better or ‘usable’. It’s even worse on the iPad when you have tabs, tab groups, etc. all in the same area fighting for space and legibility.
Yes you’re right. I noticed that as well on my office HomePods later.Think this may have been added to Tahoe as well. Just started up Apple Music on my Mac and playing to HomePods.
Beta 1-2: Lots of transparency and edge effectsSafari should get back the b3 gradient, this one seems too soft.
What’s sluggish about it? Doing fine here on 15 pro.Damn it’s beta 4 already and it’s still sluggish. I don’t remember the last time beta versions were this bad. For the past 5 years I’ve been using dev releases since day 1 and they’ve been mostly fine.
Surely it’s not me getting old and becoming extremely nit picky?
I’m taking part of the beta programme since the iPhone Xs. Can’t agree here.Damn it’s beta 4 already and it’s still sluggish. I don’t remember the last time beta versions were this bad. For the past 5 years I’ve been using dev releases since day 1 and they’ve been mostly fine.

Even scrolling left and right on the home screen is dropping frames and if you keep doing it and the left side of the phone starts to heat up. It feels like I'm on ~4 year old phone and not 16 Pro.I’m taking part of the beta programme since the iPhone Xs. Can’t agree here.
iOS 26 having/had the same bugs in the early betas as all the years before. Battery life bad, not so smooth, a lot of smaller visual issues.
Not better and also not worse than the years before.
Yes I just noticed. So it goes in the direction you’re swipingI’m sure it’s maybe just muscle memory, but are the controls in the camera app (toggling between modes at the bottom, e.g. Video to Photo to Pano) inverted swipes now? Is it just me? I’m on a lot of meds now (surgery), but I swear I’m having to swipe in the opposite direction. Not a biggie either way, just was curious.
Heat for me is much better as in the DB 1-3. Homescreen isn’t 100% fluid that’s true but it’s not terribly bad. It’s still a beta. For me there is a progress compared to the betas before.Even scrolling left and right on the home screen is dropping frames and if you keep doing it and the left side of the phone starts to heat up. It feels like I'm on ~4 year old phone and not 16 Pro.
That’s not new. But The contact has to opt-in to sharing their focus status in settings.Don't know if this is new but I just spotted it. There's a silent icon on the Messages widget on my lock screen of a contract ergo had DND on. Finally!! If it would be added to the phone app too. View attachment 2531051
For me it's the exact opposite... Colored icons: super smooth. Clear icons: stutter central. and thats with an iPhone 16 pro max.I just realiced that the stutter thing is with colored icons, when you have clear icons, the stutter on the Home Screen disappear
If you know betas, you know that it needs time settle down a bit, be patient and lay down your phone for a whileEven scrolling left and right on the home screen is dropping frames and if you keep doing it and the left side of the phone starts to heat up. It feels like I'm on ~4 year old phone and not 16 Pro.
No, I’m talking about where you can select from your tab groups (if you’ve created any); all of the selectors, back button, etc. is harder to read when scrolling or if text (or an image) is behind those sections. Are you talking about the text at the top of the screen? I think the readability of the content layer at the very top margin, beneath where the status bar has existed for forever is a non-issue. “This is actually VERY exciting”?Time to flip that upside down.
Nope. Laggy on my 15 Pro tooDamn it’s beta 4 already and it’s still sluggish. I don’t remember the last time beta versions were this bad. For the past 5 years I’ve been using dev releases since day 1 and they’ve been mostly fine.

It’s far worse for me, too. iOS 18 was fine as long as I wouldn’t edit the Control Center.I’m taking part of the beta programme since the iPhone Xs. Can’t agree here.

Same here. Was hoping they had fixed this by now. Oh well, beta life…🤪Still doing the disconnect/reconnect thing at 80% when connected to Qi2 (and presumably MagSafe2 then).
