It's wild that no source online or on forums knows what this setting does. I'm assuming perhaps it's for a feature of iOS 26 that hasn't been rolled out yet, because toggling it ON and OFF does nothing.

It's probably unlikely performance would get worse than a prior beta at this stage of the game.
