iOS 26 Beta 6 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Has anyone had any luck with the call hold assistant? Across the various betas anytime I’ve tried it, it has been a total disaster. It could be a useful feature but as it stands, it is not.

The feature has worked well for me on a couple of occasions when I was on hold during a call.

Today my compact bar in safari is way smaller then yesterday. To small… iphone 15 Pro Max

After closing Safari completely and reopen it seems to be normal and is showing the whole address

Some thing I noticed or better to say, I am missing, is the function to pin music, playlists, songs in the music app - anyone can pin their music to the top of the app?

I can.. press & hold the song or playlist and select “pin.”

Sorry if this sounds basic, but how do you initiate a Facetime Audio call on iOS 26? When you go to the Contacts app and you click on the Facetime button, it defaults to Facetime Video which I do NOT want. When you click on the call button it defaults to a mobile call which I do NOT want either.

If you hold your finger on the "call" icon, it should open a list.

Also, in Settings / Apps / Phone, you can set the default calling app to Facetime, although I think once you've done the above and selected Facetime audio, it'll default to that next time you just tap the call icon.

Press and hold the call button for FT audio call option to appear

Very pleased to get this thankyou from Apple. I've had responses a few times before from beta feedback. Common note to the doubters: Apple does look, listen, and sometimes respond. Always report bugs, and don't hesitate to send suggestions.

On my iPhone 15 with Compact bar what happens is that I see the full [core] website address when the bar is in its smallest (passive mode), yet it gets weirdly right-aligned from the end when the bar is in full (its largest mode), as in the pics below. Reported to Apple.

I’m pretty sure that is intentional, so that “legitimate.com.phishing.net” doesn’t misleadingly show as “legitimate.com”.

Installed beta 6 on my 16 PM. It’s smooth, no problems, performance is great, all apps work, but the battery life is crap. I hope that beta 7 will fix that.
