To me it seems that the LG now has some sort of white backlight to it, while keeping a transparency similar to the previous (DB5) beta, if this makes sense.

two things that i noticed immediately:

new onboarding overview of ios 26

Animation speed specifically going to home screen looks like it’s 2x faster. Not sure if bug but it’s noticeable

update: performance is night and day. I am still getting frame rate drop during the new email animation

In the first 10 minutes I’ve noticed,

The enter key on 12.9+ iPads is still wonky (Mainly on English UK and languages with a taller enter key).
Currency conversion crash in calculator is fixed.
The weird shadow on Games & iTunes Store are fixed
Still not select button on folders in Mail on the iPad (or any folder it’s hidden in the menu)
On iPhone when the tab bar shrinks it’s significantly smaller.
The smaller cut icon on the auto correct toolbar on iPad is still there.
And for some strange reason I had to re-enable ChatGPT but when you ask it says it’s not gpt 5.

I know I'm one of the only ones who uses mail categories and grouped by sender, but it seems like they fixed the issue with Messages glitching out when you delete them. There was this issue where you would delete messages, and then messages below it would disappear randomly.

It's not in the release notes, but I haven't had the issue so far. And it was very easy to replicate before.

i haven’t noticed this in previous betas, but coming back to the Home Screen from the calendar app causes a quick visual glitch when having the widget on transparent mode.
