yeah thanks...I googled that already but it was hard to know when your phone is not responding and you are outside far from home ;/

It doesn't do any harm to do a hard reboot, so shut your apps down, make sure you're not in the middle of anything, and give it a go. Once you've done it a few times, when the time comes and you really need to do it, you won't need to google how 😁

Dark mode for Maps isn't working when starting a destination. Had to turn down brightness when driving at night! 😤

Is searching in messages not working for others as well? I try to search ALL my text threads and it only pulls up the last person i texted with no way of changing to all my threads.

yeah thanks! 😀 All I try to say here is that for 10 years of android and a year of ios with a dev betas all the way, it is the first time it happened and it was on a full stable release of ios 26, which is a bummer I think. Like my trust for this device dropped.

ps. on a postive note, all macos betas were crazy bad and working awfully bad, but the full release is crazy good and much better than Sequoia for me ;)

In the final version of iOS 26 my automation that uses the trigger “leaving home” stopped working. I already deleted it and created it from scratch to no avail. Anyone facing the same issue?

Very similar if not the same issue for me when my HomePod mini is acting as the home hub…very temperamental when it came to the “leaving home” config. I’ve made my Apple TV 4K the new home hub and it seems more reliable so far.

The only thing I don't like is the animations. It feels like android and rushed. Can't believe it went through many betas and no one suggested a change?

I am using my Apple TV 4K. Never had an issue with “leaving home” in all prior iOS Versions. It only started with iOS 26.
Found this on reddit:

Seems to already have been an issue in the betas and didn’t get fixed.

I am so annoyed, honestly. I can understand that there might be bugs in new functionality. But the fact the functions which used to work for years stop working is so frustrating.

Still the same issues with a “after RC” extra 🙄
iPad Pro 11 M4
Safari
Extra 😁
- Having an issue with tabs that have active fields - fields don’t show. Example: Went into the MVD website to renew my drivers license. Had to reset my password. All works till I get to the actual New Password page and that shows up in Light and no input fields.

And there was me thinking after allllll this time you would have sorted these issues out. 🙃😅

Hopefully they release an IPSW for the revised 26.0. But if they don’t.. if I wanted a full copy install I could “erase and restore” with Finder, right? Doesn’t it download the entire iOS in that case?

Good find. So, just looks like a coincidence that mine appears to be working again. Thanks for posting the link. Hopefully Apple will fix it before the end of the decade, but I won’t hold my breath.

I'm having an issue with the Messages app where the in some of my group text threads, the photos tab will disappear and reappear without any rhyme or reason. When it's there, most of the photos are missing for this text thread. I've tried to sync the messages with the cloud but this does not fix it. It's happening on iPhone, iPad, and my Macbook Pro. Is this a known bug or is something wrong with Messages in the Cloud on iOS 26?
