While i'm definitely looking forward to see what OS 26.1 has in store, I still believe Apple needs an immediate update this week to fix OS 26 as is. I joke about holding out for iPadOS 26 until November, but making users wait a whole 1 month+ with glaring issue is ultra level crazy.

I'm having an issue where my custom lock screen and home screen wallpaper revert to another wallpaper set, usually a stock set. This is happening almost daily.

I'm using a 16 Pro Max.

I’m surprised that not a lot of apps have added support for the new keyboard, let alone new UI elements, after about a week of the OS being released.

havent had one app update that has mentioned anything about liquid glass or even iOS 26 support

The only third party app I can actually see the new keyboard on in instagram. Even other Facebook apps don’t have it. It’s not functionally an issue, but it breaks consistency so bad.

I do have an odd bug with iPhone 17 Pro and iOS 26.

Basically when I unlock the iPhone while the phone is connected to my primary router and while I'm wearing Apple Watch (10 with os26) the WiFi connections drops for around 5-15 seconds. Then it reconnects.

If I'm not wearing the Apple Watch it doesn't happen, and if the iPhone is connected to my secondary access point it doesn't happen either even while wearing the watch.

It does also happen while wearing the Apple Watch and the iPhone is connected to somewhere else's Wi-Fi (like at work or at the coffee shop).

Only after I unlock the iPhone and for a few seconds.

EDIT: I just saw there is a thread about this, sorry! :D

I just experienced a full system crash and respring on iOS 26 (14 Pro Max) only a week after installation.
Seems the final release is no better than beta software in terms of quality/stability 😕

On my iPhone 17 Pro, notifications aren't working properly. Either they don't arrive, or they do reach other devices where I'm logged in, or it doesn't clear notifications for messages I see on my other devices. It worked fine on my iPhone 15 Pro, so it could be something related to iOS 26.0 on the iPhone 17 Pro.

Updated to 26 from 18.7 on my 14 pro. Wanted to see if things were going to get worse…. So far everything is stable and the best part is my great ram management from iOS 16 is back! The phone actually keeps apps in the background again and isn’t aggressively killing them off. I think I saw a post somewhere that said 18.4 started the aggressive ram management for people. I never experienced good ram management in iOS 18 because I went from 16.7.2 to 18.6.

It’s interesting to see some complaints on here but this is where you are going to see it! So far so good on my 14 pro. Going to hang on another year and maybe do the 18 pro or maybe not! Nothing weird happening on mine but it’s been less than 24 hours. Maybe something will come up. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I do see the missing wallet icon in system services and yes a tiny bit of micro stutter on scrolling when the scroll is coming to a stop in safari. I’m sure they’ll clean it up. Otherwise the speed is the same as it’s always been. The animations (if I turn them on) reminds me of when I used to jailbreak and you could speed up animations. It’s nice but I’m a reduce motion guy. So yeah no lag or heating. Maybe I’m lucky. My 2 cents.

Few bugs I've encountered in iOS 26 so far -

1. The contacts widget shows selected contact, but on opening the contact from the widget, it says 'No contact selected' or 'no contact data' (I forget the exact nomenclature). Happening on both, iPhone 12PM & 16PM.

2. One time iPhone couldn't open any webpages, on wifi or any of the cellular networks, but App Store and inbuilt App Store were working just fine on the same network(s). GPS did not work at this time either, on any of the apps. Realized all this when I ordered a milkshake to my home address while I was at work. A quick restart fixed it.

3. If there's a time limit on an app, and you exhaust the time on the app for the day, and you have that app set to deliver scheduled notifications, the name of the app shows up during the scheduled time, but there's nothing under the app name. Just looks very odd.

4. A lot of times replying from notifications for WhatsApp does nothing & the reply never goes. This has also been the same case with sharing anything from the sharesheet. Not sure if this is iOS or WhatsApp.

5. Occasionally the notifications to my Apple Watch are significantly delayed for seemingly no reason. I'm talking 10 - 20 minutes.

6. This is more so watchOS related, but one time I was listening to someone talking with my arms folded, and the watch (S8 SS) registered a touch somewhere in the corner of the screen and the watch went into the watch face selector mode. This in itself isn't an issue and has happened before, but the watch got stuck on the selection screen. I could swipe around different screens on the watch, but it didn't go into the watch face itself, despite opening other apps. The side button to switch off the watch also stopped working during this time. The only way out was to do a hard rest.

7. If you have an app open that’s in the second page of a folder, and you’re in the first page of that folder, and you close the app, the animation is all screwed up. The app flies sideways and the icon is visible outside the folder on the right for a second until it disappears.

Installed 26 on iPhone 15 and iPad Mini 6 a few days ago, and I just got a new iPad Mini 7 (A17 Pro) today.

On the iPhone it’s mostly stable, except whenever I do a hard restart, it comes up with everything silent, except it doesn’t know that it’s silent. No indicators anywhere, just no sound and no keyboard haptics. If I flip the silent switch a few times, it comes back. But my memory is crap, and I know I won’t remember to check it every time until I go to type something and hear nothing. I’m afraid that I’ll get a phone call or message in that silent time that I won’t hear. A Google search indicates that a number of users are experiencing this, but so far the only suggestions are to check settings, which is pointless. Otherwise everything else seems to be working well, and after the first day of doing whatever it does after an update, battery life has settled down to normal.

As for the iPad(s), both old and new are acting a bit wonky. Mostly in Safari, but also in Numbers and Notes, where it just intermittently goes unresponsive to touches and gestures, such as pinpointing a spot to edit text in this here post. It’s always been a pain, especially trying to hit a spot in the middle of a word, but since the last update it’s downright obstinate. Same thing with some links - I tap and tap and tap, and nothing, then eventually it decides to work. And many times things are requiring a second tap, like the touch screen is napping while the device is catching up with itself. Very frustrating.

Aside from these issues, I’m kinda liking the Liquid Glass. Nothing I’ve run into yet feels like it was changed for no logical reason - any tweaks were minor and didn’t affect common tasks negatively. Yet. But I do hope they fix the silent phone and semi-unresponsive touch screen issues soon.

Have we discussed the fact that tapping the blank space to the right of the letter “L” on the portrait keyboard triggers the handwriting keyboard?

In low power mode I’ve noticed when you have reduce motion off the little gyroscope shiny icons thing is turned off along with the parallax effect. It would be nice if we could have a toggle for that when your are not in low power mode. I do enjoy the swoopy fast animations but I can’t stand the parallax and the shiny icons so I usually roll with reduce motion on when not in low power mode. Just a thought if anyone from Apple is looking. 😃

17 base here , my AOD "always on display" goes off by itself with a little bit darkness, never happened with a 15 pro and ios18.

Are you using a focus mode or low power mode?

I’ve had the base 17 for three days and my previous phone (iPhone 11) didn’t have AOD so I’m still learning.

I’m currently travelling and was excited to use Standby Mode as an alarm clock.

After a minute or so it went off. Better than my 11 that lasted 20 seconds but still not Always!

I prodded the screen and it came back on. Two or three minutes later it went off again. Prodded the screen again and it stayed on all night (very dark room). It just needed to know I was serious, it seems!

I know with total darkness AOD goes off later minutes but not my case with a little darkness, maybe is something new on ios26 ( new calibration ?) not sure because I had ios26 only for a few days on my 15 Pro.

Also I may to say that since my 17 came ( Friday ) I have detected this bug 2 days ago … so seems has been working properly few days ..

If you select App Store and then your account, swipe down to show latest app updates the badge count in the top right corner is obscured by the account sheet! I’ve sent in feedback.

If there is an update(s), you can still see part of the badge.

I know I said things were fine but… my 14 pro is still warming up quite often just doing basic stuff where it never used to so this. I updated Tuesday afternoon so I’m on my 4th full day after the install. I’ve rebooted a couple of times since then too. I’ve never felt it stay this warm after any update. Performance is good but I’m wondering what could be going on? Is it still the indexing? Why is it still so warm? How is everyone else’s 14 pros doing? Did the warming stop eventually or is yours doing the same as mine?
