Anyone else having issues taking photos of spiders?

Tried twice today to take a macro pic of spiders but each time the spiders were blurred out… no problems with the leaves and things around them but just the spider is blurred.

Using a 17 Pro Max on the release version of iOS 26..

Is anyone else missing the "Photos" option in their iMessages threads? I've checked threads with just 1 person and group chats and the "Photos" option is missing in all of them.

I KNOW I've sent and received photos in all of these threads.

I know I said things were fine but… my 14 pro is still warming up quite often just doing basic stuff where it never used to so this. I updated Tuesday afternoon so I’m on my 4th full day after the install. I’ve rebooted a couple of times since then too. I’ve never felt it stay this warm after any update. Performance is good but I’m wondering what could be going on? Is it still the indexing? Why is it still so warm? How is everyone else’s 14 pros doing? Did the warming stop eventually or is yours doing the same as mine?

Hi, yes, I regularly feeling my 13 pro being hot in my pocket during a few seconds... never felt that before upgrading.

This is happening to me as well on the 26.1 beta. Driving me nuts.

I’ve had this issue for years when updating iOS and they never fix it. Do you guys have messages in the cloud shut off? I always do. In order to get the photos back showing in messages threads I have to turn messages in the cloud back on for a day or 2 and then presto everything starts showing back up. Once everything is back I just turn the switch back off. Hope this works for you.

Few bugs I've encountered in iOS 26 so far -

1. The contacts widget shows selected contact, but on opening the contact from the widget, it says 'No contact selected' or 'no contact data' (I forget the exact nomenclature). Happening on both, iPhone 12PM & 16PM.

2. One time iPhone couldn't open any webpages, on wifi or any of the cellular networks, but App Store and inbuilt App Store were working just fine on the same network(s). GPS did not work at this time either, on any of the apps. Realized all this when I ordered a milkshake to my home address while I was at work. A quick restart fixed it.

3. If there's a time limit on an app, and you exhaust the time on the app for the day, and you have that app set to deliver scheduled notifications, the name of the app shows up during the scheduled time, but there's nothing under the app name. Just looks very odd.

4. A lot of times replying from notifications for WhatsApp does nothing & the reply never goes. This has also been the same case with sharing anything from the sharesheet. Not sure if this is iOS or WhatsApp.


5. Occasionally the notifications to my Apple Watch are significantly delayed for seemingly no reason. I'm talking 10 - 20 minutes.

6. This is more so watchOS related, but one time I was listening to someone talking with my arms folded, and the watch (S8 SS) registered a touch somewhere in the corner of the screen and the watch went into the watch face selector mode. This in itself isn't an issue and has happened before, but the watch got stuck on the selection screen. I could swipe around different screens on the watch, but it didn't go into the watch face itself, despite opening other apps. The side button to switch off the watch also stopped working during this time. The only way out was to do a hard rest.

7. If you have an app open that’s in the second page of a folder, and you’re in the first page of that folder, and you close the app, the animation is all screwed up. The app flies sideways and the icon is visible outside the folder on the right for a second until it disappears.

In addition to these, I'm also seeing that the announce messages feature is a little broken right now. Whenever I do receive a message or an interruption, such as workout buddy saying something, it makes the music playing go the background, but unlike before, the audio playing loses quality significantly while the announcement is made, additionally, the is a noticeable cut in the audio right before the announcement, when the audio quality deteriorates and the announcement starts and after the announcement, when the audio quality goes back to normal.

Some iMessage threads have it and some don’t. The ones that do- not all the photos are loading. I’ve done force iCloud sync and toggle iMessage and search etc and it makes no difference. Thinking this is a bug. An annoying one. Did you find a fix?

I had mine shut off for iCloud but then nothing loaded. Turned iCloud messages back on but only some came back. That was two days ago. Tried to turn iCloud messages off and disable and download but it said iCloud downloads were not finished despite syncing saying it’s done. Argh! Apple please fix this.

Can anyone in ios team update the ios keyboard to include the number keypad?

There are many websites that don't support the ios number keypad like screenshot below.

The ios26 keyboard is smaller and needs a keypad button for easy input.

This keypad function needs to be placed near bottom of keyboard (red circle).

Tried to turn iCloud messages off and disable and download but it said iCloud downloads were not finished despite syncing saying it’s done. Argh! Apple please fix this.

Yeah I’ve been through this it’s always been really buggy. Sometime you just got to turn it off and on then off and on again. Usually turn it on before bed and when you are plugged in it likes to sync. I’m in the same boat as I wiped my phone last night and restored to try to get rid of my heating issues and yup all of my photos in messages are completely gone even though there are still there you just can’t see them! I might try toggling on messages in the cloud tonight before bed or give it a few days to see how my thermals are first.

I have noticed they took away the “screenshot” tab. Or is that just me? Some of the photos that won’t load at all are screenshots. Did they take away the screenshot tab for everyone?

This is something that no one will be able to answer in this forum. Probably some devs at apple could tell you.
We will see when the update drops if it will help in your case.
Otherwise when you see huge issues with 26.0 an update to the 26.1 beta might be a good recommendation for you as this version seems to run much better for a lot of people.

The issue I had on my iPad Pro 11” 3rd Generation was when I was trying to add a widget the + was closing it as done. I did upgrade to the beta and it worked without any issues. In 26 I was able to do this on my iPhone 17 pro. Anyone else seeing that issue with iPad on 26?

I have a bug when I try to import photos into my photo app on my iMac as new photos are not recognized.

Anyone else with this problem?
