What is everyone’s recommended way to clean install as new an iPhone 16 pro and Apple Watch 10? I’m planning to restore apps on a case by case basis. But I want a complete brand new from scratch os26 experience as I’m on the betas right now. I’m guessing the ipsw will be the way to go once the public build is out. How do I get the public release rather than the RC in 24 minutes? I’m using a mac

Maybe I’m just out of it or my phone is acting weirdly, but I feel like the app opening animation is different today even though I’ve been on the RC since it dropped.

EDIT: I think it’s my phone. Animations are really choppy and slow out of nowhere. Gonna try a reboot.

Carplay is a glorified Airplay from your iPhone. Any bugs you see are on the iOS itself.
Well...that's actually not true. How Carplay functions in your vehicle is partially dependent upon manufacturer specifications for how they want it to function. Kind of drives me crazy. In one of my vehicles, Carplay mutes music to read back texts with Siri. In the other car, Carplay keeps the music playing and only slightly lowers it in the left speaker. There's no way for the end-user to change that-- it's just built-in on a vehicle basis.

My wife's iPhone 12 mini has some flickering in Safari (only there), almost as if it's randmoly switching between dark and light modes. It's really annoying her. I haven't experienced this on my iPhone 15 or Air so it seems like some kind of bug. Anyone else?

Is your wife's Mini on the RC build or the official release?

This happened to me, too. 16 Pro.

I updated to the RC a few days ago and it was choppy for the first day (iPhone 15) and has settled in now. I was worried at first that it'd continue being like that but it's alright now.

I just went into my software update section and noticed that my beta option of Off and there’s no option for me to turn it back on.

I went to enrol again, but still no luck. Switched the phone off and on again. But nothing still.

What could be wrong?

This is what the option looks like right now

Turn off automatic update and then turn on again, then go to the beta and you will be able to turn off the beta and get the update
