Many off us ran into this. The only thing that works is force quitting settings that brings up the beta option which can then be turned off. But for the 26 download my iPad shows days remaining. My phone which was never on the 26 beta has almost stopped completely showing several hours remaining. I shut my iPad down and will try tonight if my phone ever completes. Something’s rotten here.I just went into my software update section and noticed that my beta option of Off and there’s no option for me to turn it back on.
I went to enrol again, but still no luck. Switched the phone off and on again. But nothing still.
What could be wrong?
This is what the option looks like right now

I had to quit dev beta and force quit settings app to get my ios 26 update...it was on the bottom of the screen showns under an "also available" buton. Many off us ran into this. As I remember it iOS treats the final beta as the same version as the release candidate because they are both 26.0. Even if you disable beta updates you will have to wait for Apple to push out the next update (ie 26.1) for that to take over.
Thanks! Thats exactly what i did after rebooting and it showed up.I had to quit dev beta and force quit settings app to get my ios 26 update...it was on the bottom of the screen showns under an "also available" buton.
On my iPhone I saw the "also available" iOS 26.0 icon. But I preferred to go to the developer website and download the ipsw from there. I've just updated my iPhone from RC 26.0 (23A340) to the release version (23A341) using Finder on my Mac.Thanks. What's weird is I disabled Beta updates yesterday and today for my iPad I got this screenshot and on my Mac I got something similar. But on my iPhone I got nothing. All devices were on the latest Public Beta. Do you know why this is?

I couldn’t quit the beta options on my iPad; had to force quit first then I could. Turned it off then saw the 26 at the bottom of the screen. If I had known it would have been this big of a mess I would have left it alone. My phone, which was never on a beta, is having enough problems.I had to quit dev beta and force quit settings app to get my ios 26 update...it was on the bottom of the screen showns under an "also available" buton.

I got that as well and promptly updated. My guess is it’s the official RC to upgrade the final Beta.Thanks. Thanks guys for the tips. My issue was slightly different to yours in that my setting was jammed on off rather than on. In the end, I gave the off it and on it option one more go and it gave me back the beta option. But I can’t upgrade to the release version for sine reason. I’ll suss this out in the morning.I rebooted my phone….closed the settings app. Opened it up again, and then the options to turn beta off was available and it then found the update and is preparing now.
I'm having failed calls on my Verizon 16 Pro Max, everytime I speak on the call it hangs up.This is odd, all my outgoing calls are failing, I get a pop-up immediately indicating call failed. I’ve reset network settings twice and did a hard reset on my iPhone 13. Not getting any love anyone else have this problem? Not sure what to do next.
Wi-Fi Calling doesn’t work either
Thanks Chinoo.Turn off automatic update and then turn on again, then go to the beta and you will be able to turn off the beta and get the update
