I'm tempted to do the same thing. Download the ipsw and just update to it. Seems very weird that fresh installs don't have graphical bugs but OTA does. Especially when it was a 16GB download on my iPad.
Has anyone confirmed that installing fresh removes the visual bugs or are you speculating?

Perhaps one icon in one niche submenu isn't their top priority, seeing as they've got AI and a redesign on their hands...

...but it is still pretty funny that a $3t company can't upload a jpeg to their settings app. Would take like 2 secs.
It’s not just a jpeg. It’s a reacting app icon. It just fails to load, but it’s not like settings menu logos in windows 10

This is odd, all my outgoing calls are failing, I get a pop-up immediately indicating call failed. I’ve reset network settings twice and did a hard reset on my iPhone 13. Not getting any love anyone else have this problem? Not sure what to do next.
Wi-Fi Calling doesn’t work either
OK here on my iPhone 16.

Another bug, the recently added folder in the App Library only shows 7 icons instead of 8, on iPhone at least, which is strange. Installing/deleting an app doesn’t change this. It used to be a nice and even 8 icons.

iPad shows 8 like it should.

Hopefully some of the bugs were fixed.
The contact photos in the Messages app are all circles again, as they should be. Previously, some were circles and some were squares.

Update: I was wrong. Some of them have become squares again. Stupid Apple. Can't even fix the most glaring bug after multiple betas.

Supposedly the new Workout tab in the Fitness app will let you do some select workouts without an Apple Watch. But some require a heart rate monitor (probably for the AirPods Pro 3), would any HRM work?

Can not see purchase history in App Store aside from paid/90 days (can’t select the other options) on iPad Pro M1

Wow

Edit: This may be a server side problem as my iPhone on iOS 18.6.2 is having this problem

It lets me do the walking, running, bike and trekking ones.
I wouldn’t say that any will work, but surely big brands will update theirs to make it work with this new feature.

Wallet icon present when it wasn’t for others. Why would I be speculating?

Currently downloading the ISPW for my 16PM. I will report back after its installed regarding the graphical glitches I am experiencing, e.g., WiFi Toggle, Folder Icons and then weird call screen bugs.
Ran into a slight issue. Because I'm not on Tahoe, I am getting an error when trying to install the support files for my 16PM. Not willing to jump onto Tahoe at this time, so I likely won't be offering an update. Sorry!

"Can't install the sw because it is not currently available from the Software Update server"

I’ve been running the iPadOS 26 for a while and it’s fine, but now using iOS 26 on my phone… yeah so many small things and lack of detail. Nothing major, but not the polish i’m used to.

Bring on 26.1
Same with me. iPadOS26 seems to be much better all around than iOS 26.

Well, just as I expected, none of the visual bugs I reported have been fixed in the RC including:
  • The clear apps icon theme and tinted app icons theme still show visual issues flickering to dark mode or default theme on icons and widgets when launching them and returning to home screen.
  • When going into a conversation in iMessage, the text box has a rough animation between transitioning from the search bar to the text box field where it breaks up and then merges into one text box.
Big yike.
As has been said before, they’re likely going to include significant bug fixes in the .x point releases, starting with 26.1. A few cosmetic bugs aren’t deal breakers. This applies to the cosmetic bugs in a not commonly used settings menu (Location Services) as well.

Mine has been a total mess for the last few betas. It currently looks like this:
